Pulp documentary What Do You Do For An Encore? streams on MUBI in September – MUBI has confirmed that Garth Jennings’ documentary film PULP: What Do You Do For An Encore? will stream exclusively on MUBI from 25 September 2026.
Jarvis Cocker narrates the film, which follows Pulp during its 2025 tour. It also draws on four decades of archival material.
For Australian viewers, the release has two clear angles. First, fans can see it at a one-night cinema event. Then, MUBI will bring the documentary to streaming two days later.
Australian screenings
The Australian screenings will take place on Wednesday, 23 September from 6:30pm. Sydney audiences can attend Hayden Orpheum Picture Palace in Cremorne. Melbourne audiences can attend The Astor Theatre in St Kilda.
In addition, MUBI says the cinema events will include a recorded introduction and Q&A with Cocker and Jennings. That material will remain exclusive to the screenings.
About the film
PULP: What Do You Do For An Encore? celebrates one of Britain’s most distinctive bands. Jennings follows Pulp from Sheffield outsiders to cultural icons, using live footage and rare archive material.
The film features twenty songs from across the band’s career. As a result, it works as both a concert film and a career portrait.
Jennings directs the documentary, while Barney Pilling edits. Octavia Peissel produces for Opal Films, with Danny Gabai and Amy Rattray for VICE Studios, plus Paul Dugdale.
PULP: What Do You Do For An Encore? streams on MUBI from 25 September 2026. For more streaming coverage, visit TV Central’s Streaming section, and for MUBI access in Australia, visit MUBI Australia.
