Widow’s Bay wins 14 Emmys as Apple TV leads 2026 awards – Apple TV comedy Widow’s Bay has made Emmy history. It collected 14 awards at the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards, becoming the ceremony’s most decorated new comedy.
Apple TV finished with 29 wins across the Primetime Emmys. That result made it the most awarded network at this year’s ceremony. The Widow’s Bay Emmy wins gave the service its standout result and reinforced the strength of its comedy line-up.
Widow’s Bay won Outstanding Comedy Series, while Matthew Rhys took Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. The series also won for writing, directing, casting, production design, costumes, editing, sound mixing and sound editing.

Apple’s other winners included six awards for Pluribus, three for Margo’s and three for Palm Royale. Slow Horses, Mr Scorsese and Apple’s commercial work also contributed to the total.
The awards result gives Apple TV a strong platform for its next comedy cycle. It also puts Widow’s Bay firmly among the year’s most successful new series.
