Kayo Sports congratulates Fox Footy talent recognised at Australian Football Media Association Awards – Kayo Sports has congratulated Fox Footy presenters and analysts honoured at the Australian Football Media Association Awards. The recognition spans calling, analysis, emerging talent and lifetime contribution.
Importantly, the awards underline the depth of the Fox Footy team heading into AFL Grand Final week. Kayo viewers will continue to see that team across live coverage, news and analysis. It is a major week for football fans.
Fox Footy winners recognised
Jess Webster received the Clinton Grybas Award for Best Emerging Talent. Meanwhile, Anthony Hudson was named Best TV Caller. Leigh Montagna won Best TV and radio opinion and analysis.
Gerard Whateley and Leigh Matthews were inducted as Life Members. In addition, David King jointly received the Lou Richards Award for Best Former Football Player in the Media. Jay Clark took out the Alf Brown Award for Best Overall Media Performer.
Kayo said the awards recognised Fox Footy’s breadth. For example, its lineup includes live broadcasts, news and magazine programs. Those programs include AFL 360, On the Couch, First Crack and Midweek Tackle.
Fox Footy general manager Michael Neill said the awards reflected the team’s passion and expertise. He also congratulated Australian Football Media Association president Lauren Wood for her leadership around the event.
Grand Final week coverage
Looking ahead, Kayo and Fox Footy will continue their AFL coverage throughout Grand Final week. Special editions of AFL 360, Bounce and Midweek Tackle are planned. The Grand Final call will feature Anthony Hudson, Dwayne Russell, Garry Lyon and Jason Dunstall. Finally, a full replay follows the season decider.
