Netflix digital publisher videos coming to Australia from August 3 – Netflix will add a new collection of fan-favourite digital publisher videos to its platform from August 3.
The rollout will include Australia and New Zealand, along with the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Ireland.
The move gives Netflix members another way to explore entertainment, lifestyle and culture content. It also continues the platform’s expansion beyond series and films.
Digital publisher videos join Netflix
Netflix will bring videos from several major digital publishers to the service. The first wave of partners includes BuzzFeed Studios, Condé Nast, Hearst Magazines, PMX, People Inc. and Tastemade.
More publisher partnerships will also be announced.
The new collection will cover food, travel, fashion, entertainment, design, wellness and celebrity culture. As a result, members will have more short-form and mid-length options available from the Netflix homepage.
Videos will range from quick three-minute clips to episodes of around 20 minutes. Therefore, the collection suits casual browsing, quick viewing and deeper fan engagement.
Major lifestyle and entertainment brands included
BuzzFeed Studios will bring content from A*Pop, BuzzFeed Celeb, Cocoa Butter, Pero Like and Tasty.
Meanwhile, Condé Nast brands will include Allure, Architectural Digest, Bon Appétit, Condé Nast Traveler, Epicurious, Glamour, House & Garden, Self, Teen Vogue, Vanity Fair, Vogue, Wired and World of Interiors.
Hearst Magazines will add videos from Cosmopolitan, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Seventeen, Women’s Health, Town & Country, Delish and Good Housekeeping.
In addition, PMX will include Billboard, Eater, Indiewire, Rolling Stone, The Hollywood Reporter and Variety. People Inc. will bring Entertainment Weekly, Food & Wine, InStyle, PEOPLE and Travel + Leisure.
Tastemade will also join the first wave.

The lineup includes BuzzFeed Celeb’s 30 Questions, Tasty Recipes, Vanity Fair’s Lie Detector, AD’s Walking Tour and Elle’s Where is the Lie.
Other titles include Harper’s Bazaar’s Burning Questions, Billboard’s 24 Hrs With, Variety’s How Well Do They Know?, PEOPLE’s My Life in Pictures, Travel + Leisure’s Travel Unfiltered and Tastemade’s Struggle Meals.
The collection will also feature familiar videos such as Vogue 73 Questions and Entertainment Weekly Reunions.

Netflix expands its entertainment ecosystem
Netflix says the partnerships will help members keep exploring the stories and personalities they enjoy after watching a series or film.
“Members don’t just want to watch a show or film and move on – they want to keep exploring the stories and personalities they love long after the final credits roll. These partnerships help us deepen fandom and create more ways for members to carry those stories with them throughout their day,” John Derderian, Vice President, Animation Series + Kids & Family TV overseeing this initiative said.
The new digital publisher videos begin rolling out on Netflix from August 3.
