Anna Torv returns to ABC in Dustfall – Anna Torv leads the new six-part crime drama Dustfall. It premieres on Sunday 11 October at 8.20pm on ABC TV. All episodes will also stream on ABC iview.
Set on the Gold Coast, Dustfall gives ABC’s drama slate a new Australian Tropic Noir. The series draws on Vikki Petraitis’s novel The Unbelieved. It also pairs Torv with an extensive local and international ensemble.
Torv plays Detective Tig Pollard. Tig investigates a harrowing sexual-assault case. However, the investigation shifts when police find a key suspect dead. As a result, Tig must confront secrets from her own adolescence.
About Dustfall
Dianne Taylor, Stuart Page, Belinda Chayko and Beatrix Christian adapted the series for television. Emma Freeman directs all six episodes.
Meanwhile, Juliet Stevenson, Zoe Phillips, Kate Box and Peter Fenton join the cast. Jay Ryan, Bert Labonte, Lila McGuire and Ben Knight also star. Harry Gilchrist, Ling Cooper Tang, Gemma Chua-Tran and Alice Ansara feature as well. Martin Sacks completes the ensemble.
ABC commissioned Dustfall with the BBC. Soapbox Pictures and Moonriver produce the series. Screen Australia and the ABC provide major production investment. In addition, the Queensland Government supports the production through Screen Queensland’s Production Attraction Strategy.
