Natalie Miller Fellowship opens applications for 2026 grants – The Natalie Miller Fellowship has opened applications for its 2026 annual grants, with two $10,000 grants available to women working across the Australian screen industry.
The grants support professional development for women looking to expand their leadership, skills and industry impact across film, television, digital content, gaming and emerging screen sectors.
For the Australian screen sector, the 2026 round comes as the Fellowship marks 15 years of backing female leadership and building a national alumni network across production, distribution, exhibition, post-production and financing.
Applications now open
The Natalie Miller Fellowship was established in 2011 to recognise screen industry pioneer Natalie Miller AO. It is described by the organisation as the only grant of its kind in Australia.
The 2026 grants are open to women working in traditional screen industry sectors, including distribution, exhibition, production, post-production and financing. They are also open to applicants in emerging fields such as immersive media, digital content and gaming.
Applications close at 5.00pm AEST on Friday, 4 September 2026.

Close said the Fellowship has built an alumni network across exhibition, distribution, production and other parts of the industry, with Fellows going on to make a lasting impact across Australian screen.
She encouraged women in both traditional and emerging screen sectors to apply for professional development opportunities that will challenge them and expand their leadership.
Fifteen years of the Fellowship
Since 2012, the Fellowship has awarded 15 grants to women across the Australian screen industry.
Past Fellows include Katrine Elliott, Genevieve Grieves, Dr Sian Mitchell, Bridgette Graham, Pauline Clague, Anna Kaplan, Miriam Katsambis, Kristy Matheson, Sasha Close, Courtney Botfield, Rebecca Hammond, Harriet Pike, Rachel Okine, Ruby Arrowsmith-Todd and Nerida Groth.
The 2026 recipients will be announced during the Australian International Movie Convention on the Gold Coast, which runs from Monday, 26 October to Thursday, 29 October 2026.
