Voicemails for Isabelle on Netflix official trailer – Jill (Zoey Deutch), a young woman struggling to navigate life after the loss of her sister, Isabelle (Ciara Bravo).
Beyond grief, Jill is searching for connection in every direction — longing for her sister’s companionship, hoping for some kind of unexpected lifeline to help her make sense of what she’s going through, and trying to hold things together as her job and daily life begin to slip further out of reach.
In an attempt to stay close to Isabelle, she continues leaving voicemails on her old number — vulnerable, heartfelt, and often funny messages that become a kind of private outlet for everything she can’t say anywhere else.
What Jill doesn’t know is that the number has been reassigned to Wes (Nick Robinson), a real estate agent quietly navigating his own sense of longing for something meaningful.
As Jill keeps talking and Wes keeps listening in, an unexpected thread begins to form between them.
The film may have the warmth, wit, and easy charm of a classic rom-com, but underneath it’s a deeply felt story about grief, sisterhood, and learning how to move forward — the kind of film that makes you laugh in one moment and quietly emotional in the next.
Nick Offerman, Lukas Gage, Harry Shum Jr., Megan Danso, Gil Bellows, Toby Sandeman, and Spencer Lord co-star. Voicemails for Isabelle is written and directed by Leah McKendrick (Scrambled), with music by Este Haim and Amanda Yamate.
