Stick season two premieres on Apple TV in November – Apple TV has confirmed its sports comedy Stick, starring and executive produced by Owen Wilson, will return for season two on Wednesday 4 November.
The new season will launch with two episodes. After that, one episode will stream weekly until Wednesday 30 December.
For Apple TV, Stick gives the streamer another character-led sports comedy to sit alongside its broader slate of premium originals. It also keeps Owen Wilson in a warm, accessible role built around golf, mentorship and second chances.
What Season Two Is About
Created by Jason Keller, Stick follows Pryce Cahill, an over-the-hill former pro golfer whose career was derailed 20 years earlier. In season one, Pryce put his future on troubled 17-year-old golf talent Santi, played by Peter Dager.
Season two moves Santi into the next stage of his professional golf dream. However, he soon learns how quickly the game changes when talent becomes expectation.
Meanwhile, Pryce starts to wonder what might still be possible for him. Urged on by former rival Clark Ross, played by Timothy Olyphant, he launches an unlikely comeback bid and tries to become the oldest golfer ever to win a major.
The road back is not simple. As Pryce gets closer to the golfer he once was, he also has to confront why he never fulfilled the promise others saw in him.
Rhea Seehorn Joins The Cast
Season two adds Emmy Award nominee and Golden Globe winner Rhea Seehorn in the supporting role of Amanda, a sharp new coach who joins Pryce’s corner.
The returning ensemble includes Owen Wilson, Peter Dager, Marc Maron, Mariana Treviño, Lilli Kay, Judy Greer and Timothy Olyphant.
New season two cast members also include John Higgins, Billy Zane, Rex Linn, Sasha Alexander and Missi Pyle. In addition, Jim Nantz, Trevor Immelman, Good Good’s Matt Scharff and Dan Rapaport will make return guest appearances.
Creative Team
Stick comes from Apple Studios. Keller serves as showrunner and executive producer alongside Wilson, Ben Silverman for Propagate Content, and Entertainment 360’s Guymon Casady.
The series is also executive produced by Christopher Moynihan, Rodney Ferrell, Howard T. Owens, Drew Buckley, Lee Eisenberg and Bill Callahan.
