Netflix highlights for week commencing 24 August 2026 – Netflix ANZ has revealed its programming highlights for the week. The list is led by mystery thriller The Whisper Man, new documentaries, family animation, international drama and the platform’s weekly WWE coverage.
The week is headlined by The Whisper Man. The thriller brings together Robert De Niro, Michelle Monaghan and Adam Scott in a story about a missing child, an estranged family and a retired detective drawn back toward a serial-killer case.
For Australian Netflix viewers, it is also a mixed week rather than a single-genre drop. Crime and true-story titles do much of the heavy lifting. Meanwhile, The Garfield Movie gives families a lighter weekend option, and WWE keeps its live weekly rhythm across Raw, NXT and SmackDown.

Untold: The Testimony of Vince Young is available Tuesday 25 August. The documentary follows Vince Young from his rise as a college football phenomenon through his turbulent NFL years. Young reflects on fame, pressure and the fall that followed.
Death of the Pastor’s Wife is available Wednesday 26 August. The documentary series looks at the life, marriage and death of Mica Miller. It retraces the circumstances around a case that drew major public attention.
Movies And Drama
2012 is available Wednesday 26 August. The disaster film stars John Cusack, Amanda Peet, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Thandiwe Newton, Oliver Platt, Tom McCarthy, Woody Harrelson, Danny Glover, Liam James and Morgan Lily.
The Garfield Movie is available Friday 28 August. Chris Pratt, Samuel L. Jackson, Hannah Waddingham, Ving Rhames, Nicholas Hoult, Cecily Strong, Harvey Guillen, Brett Goldstein, Bowen Yang and Snoop Dogg voice the animated family film.
The Secret Woman is available Friday 28 August. The drama follows a woman with amnesia who discovers she has a wealthy family and a shipping empire. She then returns to a seemingly perfect past to find out why she left.
The series stars Natalie Madueno, Claes Bang, Pal Sverre Hagen, Stina Ekblad, Ingrid Bolso Berdal and Lars Simonsen.
The Run is available Sunday 30 August. Callan Mulvey, Charlotte Maggi and Felix Cameron star in the Australian thriller. It follows a runaway teenager and her baby, who are targeted during a global fertility crisis.
WWE On Netflix
WWE: Raw streams live Tuesdays at 11.00am AEST. The weekly in-ring series continues with live action, drama and major WWE storylines.
WWE: NXT streams live Wednesdays at 11.00am AEST. The series follows emerging WWE competitors as they push toward becoming major sports-entertainment names.
WWE: SmackDown streams live Saturdays at 11.00am AEST. The weekly blue-brand series continues with WWE’s top Superstars building rivalries and settling scores.
