HOW IT WORKS
Historically, the FIFA Club World Cup™ has taken place annually, featuring the winners of the previous season’s seven continental cup competitions.
For 2025 the format has been overhauled, with 32 teams taking part and beginning a new four-year cycle for the tournament. These teams have qualified via their continental performance – see ‘Competing Clubs’ below.
Clubs have been divided into eight groups of four, with each playing the other three in their group between June 15 and 27. The top two will advance to the knockout stages.
The Round of 16 begins on June 29 and Quarter Finals from July 5. The Semi Finals will be held on July 9 and 10, with the Final on July 14 to crown the Club World Champion.
