Flynn Southam, Kyle Chalmers, Shayna Jack and Meg Harris combined to secure Australia’s 11th gold medal in the Glasgow pool, finishing ahead of England and Wales.
The relay gave Seven and 7plus Sport another high-energy team moment from the Games. It also reinforced Australia’s early dominance in the pool across individual and relay events.
A commanding relay win
Southam gave Australia a strong start before Chalmers, Jack and Harris extended the lead. Harris then anchored the team home in a Games record time of 3:19.36.

Annie Williams said Harris produced an astonishing final 100 metres, noting how athletes can lift when racing in a relay team.
Rooney speaks to the team
Giaan Rooney described the performance as dominant and asked the swimmers about their roles in the win.

Shayna Jack said the team had put together a great race, while Kyle Chalmers said he loved swimming relays and enjoyed teaming up with the women.
