TOTAL TV
Seven News was #1 across Australia last Wednesday with 1,385 000 viewers, a rise of 3%. Seven News at 6:30 was #2 with 1,380 000, also a rise of 3%. Home and Away was #4 overall, but is now #1 in its slot with 1,001 000 viewers, a rise of 19%. A repeat of Hey Hey It’s 100 Years was up 7% to 640 000 and was #3 in its slot behind ABC and Nine offerings. Seven News at 4 was #30 for the day with 283 000, up 3%. Seven News at 4:30 was #27 with 320 000, also up 3%. Sunrise was #1 at breakfast with 385 000 viewers and increased its audience by 5%. The Chase Australia was on 763 000 and landed at #11 and had an uplift of 4%. The Chase Australia – 5pm had 473 000 viewers, a rise of 4%.
Nine News had to settle for #5 for the night with 972 000, up 4%. Nine News 6:30 was #6 with 964 000, also up 4%. A Current Affair was #9 for the night but had to settle for #3 in the slot with 844 000, up 5%. Country Home Rescue with Shaynna Blaze had a terrific launch with 683 000 viewers, a rise of 19% and placing it #13 for the night and #2 in the slot behind the ABC. Dream Listing Byron Bay launched with 361 000, a rise of 10% and #22 for the night, but #3 in its slot. Nine’s Afternoon News was on 360 000, an uplift of 3%. Today recorded 291 000 and was up 8%. Hot Seat was on 467 000, up 4%, whilst Hot Seat – 5pm was on 321 000, up 4% as well. Tipping Point was #18 on 420 000, up 5%.
Love Island Australia had 32 000 fans for its 9GO overnight rating, but that number increased by 655% to move to 355 000 and become the #25 watched show of the whole day.
A repeat of The Dog House Australia was best for 10 and was at #17 with 436 000, up 5%. 10 News First was on 362 000 and increased its audience by 2%. The Project 7pm had 357 000 and was up 4%.
Fisk was the star performer for the ABC at #3 for the night after the two halves of Seven News. Fisk recorded an audience of 1,122 000, which was an increase of 67% on its overnight audience. ABC News was #7 with 860 000 viewers, up 4%. Hard Quiz won its slot with 859 000 viewers, a rise of 15%. 730 was #10 for the night and combined with Hard Quiz to win the 7:30 hour with 783 000, up 6%. Question Everything was #12 with 712 000, up 13%. Would I Lie to You had 404 000 for its encore (after screening on ABC TV Plus), an increase of 10%. A repeat of QI had 286 000 and was up 13%.

Analysis
Seven News was #1 last night with wins in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. It lost in Brisbane by just 2000 viewers. Seven News at 6:30 was #2 and won in the same markets. Home and Away was #12 for the night with 444 000 viewers. Code 1: Minute by Minute had its season final with 272 000 viewers and has been renewed for 2023. The movie, Unhinged recorded an overnight audience of 157 000. The Latest: Seven News was on 125 000. The Amazing Race had 50 000 late night viewers.
Nine News 6:30 was #3 for the night and won in Brisbane. Nine News was #4 for the evening and also won in Brisbane. A Current Affair was #7 for the night for the ‘Farewell Special’ with 488 000 viewers. Country Home Rescue with Shaynna Blaze was on 332 000 viewers and was #15 for the night. Dream Listing Byron Bay was on 199 000 viewers with a later 9pm start. Nine inserted a repeat of Escape to the Chateau with 97 000 viewers. Nine News Late had just 55 000 viewers.
The Project 6:30pm had 170 000 viewers. The Project 7pm rose with 278 000. 10 aired the first of a two part special presentation titled ‘Claremont: A Killer Among Us’ which was watched by 266 000 viewers. My Life is Murder followed with 134 000 viewers.
ABC News was best for Aunty with 562 000 and placing #5 for the night. Fisk was #6 for the night and #1 non news. 7:30 was strong at #8 with 474 000 viewers. Hard Quiz had 451 000 viewers and placed #10 for the night. Question Everything was #13 with 386 000. An encore of Would I Lie to You was watched by 258 000 viewers. Adam Hills: The Last leg was on 162 000.
SBS had the France and Australia match early morning but placed #9 for the whole day with 461 000 fans. Morocco and Croatia was #14 with 362 000 viewers.
