Analysis for Total TV (18 October, 2022) and Overnight (25 October, 2022) ratings.
TOTAL TV
The Block was #1 non news and #3 overall in the Total TV rankings for last Tuesday. The show rose 29% for a total audience of 1, 374 000 viewers. Nine News (6:30pm) rose 4% to 1, 027 000, whilst Nine News (6pm) rose 4% to 1, 009 000. A Current Affair sat at #8 with 868 000, up 6%. Even in repeats, Travel Guides is doing well, adding 13% to its overnight audience for 636 000 viewers.
Seven News (6:30pm) was #1 overall with 1, 394 000, up 3%. Seven News (6pm) also rose 3% to be #2 overall at 1, 393 000. Home and Away grew its audience by 20% to 922 000 and in the process overtook ABC News and A Current Affair to win the slot. Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly rose 9% to 550 000. The Good Doctor was up a strong 42% to 486 000.
There is some life in The Traitors with the show rising 37% to 472 000, less than 100k behind Dogs on Seven. The Cheap Seats uplifted 17% to 495 000 and sat just above The Good Doctor. NCIS rose 27% to 262 000.
The ABC had a 17% uplift for Take 5 with Zan Rowe for an audience of 518 000. Tom Gleeson’s Secrets of the Australian Museum was up 14% to 583 000. Earlier in the evening, ABC News was up 4% to 872 000 viewers.

Analysis
Nine News was #5 overall and had a win in the Brisbane market. The Block blew away the competition at 7:30pm with 782 000 viewers, which will push about 1 million in the Total TV figures next week. Travel Guides does quite well considering the show is in repeat mode with 312 000 viewers. The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup match between Australia and Sri Lanka drew 233 000 viewers.
Seven News was #1 overall for the night and had wins in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. Home and Away had 441, 000 which is #3 in its slot in overnights, but as is the case on frequent occasions, the show will move into #1 when Total TV figures are released. Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly had an audience of 322 000. The Good Doctor had 211 000. An earlier edition of The Latest: Seven News had 145 000 viewers and 10 Years Younger in 10 Days had an audience of 93 000 from 10pm.
The Project (6:30pm) had 169 000 then rising tp 261 000 at 7pm. The Traitors showcased the best episode of the season (in my opinion!) to 259 000 viewers. The Cheap Seats was on 318 000, whilst NCIS had 155 000 viewers.
ABC was in Federal Budget mode with various segments on 445 000, 314 000 and 217 000, but those figures are from the main channel. There were additional viewers watching through ABC News.

- Travel Guides was a timeslot winner with Total People across the 5 City and in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.

- 9News was the No.1 news bulletin with GS+Child across the 5 City and in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide.
- Nine News Budget Special was a timeslot winner with Total People across the 5 City and in Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide.
