Koori Knockout returns home exclusively to NITV and SBS On Demand – NITV will bring the 2026 Koori Knockout to audiences live and free, with the finals available on NITV and SBS On Demand from King Park Sporting Complex in Raymond Terrace on Worimi Country.
Now in its 54th year, the Koori Knockout is one of the country’s biggest First Nations sporting and cultural events. More than 180 teams are expected to take part, while the 2026 coverage marks NITV’s 18th broadcast of the event.
When to watch
The tournament runs on Sunday 4 October and Monday 5 October, with coverage beginning from 9am. All Field 1 matches on Sunday and the Monday-morning semi-finals will be live streamed, before the women’s and men’s finals air on NITV and SBS On Demand on Monday afternoon.
Reigning champions Newcastle Yowies will host the event after becoming the first team to win four grand finals in a single day last year.

SBS On Demand has also launched a 24/7 Koori Knockout FAST Channel, bringing together a decade of classic matches and the KKO documentary.
