TOTAL TV – Total People
Seven News was #1 with 1,251 000, a rise of 3%. Seven News at 6:30 was #2 with 1,237 000, an upswing of 3%. The Chase Australia proved a strong lead in for Seven News at #8 with 665 000, a lift of 2%. A repeat of Border Security: Australia’s Front Line was #9 with 639 000, an increase of 5%. Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly was #11 with 550 000, a boost of 7%. The Good Doctor was #13 with 453 000, growth of 41%. The Chase Australia – 5pm was #15 with 408 000, strengthening its overnights by 2%. Sunrise was #18, but #1 at breakfast with 376 000, bolstering its audience by 4%. Seven News at 4:30 was #30 with 266 000, an upsurge of 3%.
Nine News 6:30 was #3 with 958 000, an improvement of 4%. Nine News was #4 with 913 000, expanding its audience by 4%. A Current Affair was #5 with 807 000, but was #1 in its slot, an enhancement of 5%. A repeat of Travel Guides was #10 with 633 000, an uplift of 8%. Hot Seat was #14 with 444 000, up 4%. Tipping Point was #16 with 394 000, a rise of 5%. Love Island Australia was #17 with 388 000, an upswing of a huge 581%. The movie, The Dish was #19 with 364 000, a lift of 4%. Nine’s Afternoon News was #20 with 364 000, an increase of 3%. Hot Seat – 5pm was #25 with 292 000, a boost of 4%. Today was #26 with 286 000, growth of 8%.
The Project 7pm was best for 10 at #22 with 352 000, strengthening its overnights by 4%. 10 News First was #23 with 317 000, bolstering its audience by 2%. NCIS was #24 with 295 000, an upsurge of 23%. A repeat of Ambulance Australia was #27 with 283 000, an improvement of 8%. The Bold and the Beautiful was #28 with 281 000, expanding its audience by 4%.
ABC News was #6 with 806 000, enhancing its audience by 3%. 730 was #7 with 685 000, an uplift of 6%. The season final of Stuff the British Stole was #12 with 511 000, up 12%.
2022 FIFA World Cup: Brazil v Korea was #21 for SBS with 360 000, a rise of 62%. A repeat of Norfolk Island with Ray Martin was #29 with 278 000, an upswing of 8%.
TOTAL TV – 25-54
2022 FIFA World Cup: Brazil and Korea was #5, but #1 non news with 217 000, a lift if 74%. The power of Love Island Australia really shows in this demographic, placing #6 for the entire day’s programming and only beaten by either news or the football on SBS. The Project 7pm was #10 for the evening. Sunrise and Today pulled a lot closer in this demo, compared to total people.

Seven News was #1 with wins in Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. Seven News at 6:30 was #2 with wins in Adelaide and Perth and a tie in Brisbane. Seven’s Cricket : Big Bash League – Sydney Thunder v Melbourne Stars was #10 with 273 000.
Nine News was #3 with wins in Sydney and Melbourne. Nine News 630 was #4 with 684 000 with wins Sydney and Melbourne and a tie in Brisbane. A Current Affair was #5 but #1 in its slot with 592 000. Nine had the 2022 FINA World Short Course Championships with its live coverage taking in 166 000. It should be noted that due to its live coverage, all or part of the swimming was on 9Gem in Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.
The Project 6:30pm had 166 000, but that number rose to 252 000 for The Project 7pm. A repeat of Ambulance Australia had 225 000. 10 offered up part 1 of a three night mini series with Crossfire attracting 175 000 viewers.
730 was #7 with 468 000.A repeat of Anh’s Brush with Fame was #16 with 225 000. A repeat of Love on the Spectrum had 172 000 viewers.

9Gem had a bumper night with another Bond film, this time Never Say Never Again at #2 with 113 000. ABC Kids/ ABC TV Plus was #2 for the night off the back of Adam Hills: The Last Leg and Would I Lie to You.
The Challenge Australia finished its season, but hardly anybody was watching. The overnight metro result was just 11 000 viewers, with 4000 coming from Sydney, 4000 from Perth, 2000 from Melbourne and 1000 from Adelaide. Brisbane recorded a zero.
