Seven News Saturday once again topped the rankings to be #1 overall with 1,054 000 viewers, a rise of 2% and the only program to attract more than one million viewers. A repeat of Border Security: Australia’s Front Line did well at #6 for an audience of 593 000, up 4%. The movie, Star Wars: The Force Awakens had 339 000 viewers, a rise of 3%. Other notable programs for Seven included Weekend Sunrise that actually sat at #8 overall with 389 000 viewers, up 3%. The late portion of Weekend Sunrise had 339 000, up 4%, whilst the early component had 289 000, up 4%. Late afternoon, Seven News at 5 had 271 000, up 2% and the late arvo repeat of Border Security: Australia’s Front Line was up 2% to 329 000. Seven’ Supercars Championship: Gold Coast 500 (Race) had 252 000, up 8%, whilst the supports/qualifying was up 4% to 186 000.
Nine News Saturday was #2 with 748 000 viewers, up 3%. A Current Affair was up 5% to 604 000. The movie Kong: Skull Island improved 5% to 216 000. Getaway had a 5% uplift before the news for 325 000 viewers. Weekend Today was up 6% to 249 000, whilst the late component of the show was on 206 000, up 6%. Nine News: First at Five was on 246 000, up 2%
10’s best was at #15 with Blue Bloods that rose 23% to 262 000 viewers. CSI: Vegas rose 23% as well to an audience of 250 000. An encore NCIS had 208 000, up 18%.
ABC was strong with ABC News at #3 on 745 000 viewers, up 4%. A repeat of Death in Paradise was #4 overall but #1 non news on 630 000, up 8%. The Capture had the biggest uplift at 50% to move to #7 with 480 000 viewers. A repeat of Vera had an audience of 234 000, up 14% and Midsomer Murders had 215 000 viewers, up 11%. Weekend Breakfast rose 5% to 192 000 and Secrets of the Museum had an 11% uplift for a final 7 day audience of 183 000.
SBS made the top 30 with Secrets of the Royal Palaces at #20 with 240 000, a rise of 9%. Michael Palin: Travels of a Lifetime, which was a repeat still had an audience of 198 000, up 4%. SBS World News was at #28 with 191 000, up 2%

Analysis
Seven News was #1 for the night but only won in Adelaide and Perth. A 7pm repeat episode of Border Security: Australia’s Front Line had 368 000 viewers and landed at #6. The family favourite movie, Home Alone had 213 000 viewers and its sequel Home Alone: Lost in New York had 137 000 viewers.
Nine News was #2 for the night but won in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. A Current Affair was #5 for 372 000 viewers/ The movie, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle was the #1 movie choice at 224 000.
10 had Blue Bloods at 7:30 for an overnight audience of 117 000 viewers. CSI: Vegas was on 113 00 at 8:30pm. An NCIS encore was watched by exactly 100 000 viewers.
ABC had a strong night with a new season of Doc Martin #3 overall but #1 non news at 510 000 – a strong Saturday night number in that slot. The Capture had 210 000, but that is likely to rise close to 50% next week/
