Nine News 6:30 was #3 with wins in Melbourne and Brisbane. Nine News was #4 with a win in Melbourne. A Current Affair was #9 with 362 000. That figure was lower than usual because the program was not screened in Brisbane, due to local coverage of Christmas carols. 2022 FINA World Short Course Swimming Championships was on 197 000. This is a fairly low result, however, it should be noted that due to its live coverage, 30 minutes of the coverage was seen on 9Gem in Adelaide and in its entirety on 9Gem in Brisbane and Perth. The 2022 Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols were the #7 most watched program in Brisbane last night with 61 000 viewers, only outrated by news and a repeat of Vera.

Winner: 9Gem (4.6%)
Second: 7mate (3.7%)
9Gem’s Bond movie marathon continued with The Living Daylights giving 9Gem a huge win. A combination of FINA World Short Course Championships in some markets and Fawlty Towers, also assisted in the unbeatable share. 7two did well with Bargain Hunt and then Better Homes and Gardens Summer (some markets only) giving the channel a third placed 3.6%. 7mate’s share was helped by Big Bash League coverage airing whilst Seven News was on air on the main channel. The channel then had Rambo: First Blood Part II with 55 000 viewers.
