SCA live and local strategy delivers 41st Audience That Matters win – Southern Cross Austereo says its live and local strategy has delivered a 41st consecutive survey win for People 25-54.

The company said GfK Survey 5, 2026 kept SCA as the number one metro network for People 25-54. It also put Triple M at number one for Men 25-54 and Hit Network at number one for Women 25-54.

For TV Central readers, the result shows how local breakfast radio, live sport and digital audio are still shaping Australian media. SCA is using those strengths across radio, streaming and podcasts through Hit, Triple M and LiSTNR.

SCA live and local strategy leads key audiences

SCA said its national network reached 9.18 million Australians across its People 10+ audience.

In partnership with ACE Radio, the network recorded a 36.3% commercial share among People 25-54.

Triple M won its 29th consecutive survey for Men 25-54. Meanwhile, Hit Network secured a fifth consecutive survey win for Women 25-54.

SCA also said Triple M remained the number one audio broadcaster for AFL and NRL across metro markets.

Brisbane and Adelaide stand out

Brisbane delivered a strong result for SCA. B105 and Triple M Brisbane held the top two station positions in the market.

B105’s Stav, Abby & Matt was the number one breakfast show with a 14.2% share.

Triple M Brisbane’s Marto, Margaux & Dan was the number two breakfast show. SCA described the result as a breakfast show duopoly.

Triple M Adelaide also kept its place as the market’s number one station and number one breakfast show.

Roo, Dittz & Loz increased to a 15.2% share. The show has now won 27 of the past 28 surveys.

Sydney and Perth build momentum

In Sydney, 2DayFM’s Nath & Emma recorded the market’s biggest breakfast share increase. The show rose 1.1 share points to 4.7%.

The Sydney breakfast show also added 79,000 listeners to reach 389,000.

Triple M Perth’s Xav & Katie was Perth’s number one breakfast show for People 25-54, with a 21.2% share.

It was also the number two breakfast show for People 10+.

SCA said footy audiences continued to flow through to drive. The Rush Hour with JB & Billy grew to a 9.7% share and delivered a number one drive result in Adelaide.

SCA backs consistency

SCA Head of Broadcast Content Matthew O’Reilly said the survey showed the value of consistency across Hit and Triple M.

“There are strong results right across the country, including another dominant performance from Triple M Adelaide and audience growth across all day parts for Triple M Perth,” O’Reilly said.

Southern Cross Media Group Managing Director, Audio John Kelly said the long-term strategy was paying off across the network.
