Triple M announces 2026 AFL Grand Final call team – Triple M has named Jack Heverin and Mark “Howie” Howard as the lead callers for the 2026 AFL Grand Final. The broadcaster will deliver coverage throughout Grand Final week on radio and LiSTNR.
Heverin will call his first AFL Grand Final for Triple M. He joins Howard in the lead team. AFLW pioneer Kate McCarthy, four-time premiership player Isaac Smith and two-time All-Australian Nathan Brown will provide expert analysis. Ash Chua and Michael Roberts will cover statistics and boundary duties.
Heverin called the appointment an “unbelievable honour”. He said he first listened to Triple M as a fan. Later, he set a goal to work for the network. The Grand Final role puts him alongside one of Australian sport radio’s most familiar commentary teams.

Triple M will also host Triple M Fest at Richmond’s Corner Hotel on Thursday, 24 September. The event will combine live broadcasts and music performances ahead of the decider. The Superjesus, You Am I and Bush will perform.
Meanwhile, the network will build around the Grand Final with editions of The Thursday Rub, The Saturday Rub and The Sunday Rub. Its established AFL voices will feature throughout the week.
Triple M Chief Content Officer Ewan Giles said the line-up brings together experience, analysis and entertainment for the biggest match of the season. Listeners can hear the Grand Final call across the Triple M network. They can also stream it live through LiSTNR.
