Netflix highlights for week commencing 21 September 2026 – Netflix’s Australian line-up for the week ahead combines new originals, a Willy Wonka competition, catalogue films and live WWE.
The major arrival is Unabomber, a drama inspired by true events. It follows Ted Kaczynski from Harvard prodigy and psychological-test subject to the FBI’s hunt for the infamous bomber. Russell Crowe and Jacob Tremblay lead a cast that also includes Shailene Woodley, Annabelle Wallis, Alexander Ludwig, Steven Ogg and Marc Menchaca.
For Australian viewers, the week offers a clear mix of current Netflix originals and recognisable library titles. It also keeps WWE’s regular live schedule in place.
Tuesday 22 September: Minerva Academy
Minerva Academy arrives on Tuesday. The Italian series is set at Minerva Military High School. Its students navigate discipline, rivalry and family pressure. Meanwhile, a young cadet searches for answers about a missing friend.
Ciro Minopoli, Biagio Venditti and Margherita Buoncristiani star. Beatrice Savignani, Simone Secce, Giulio Brizzi, Nicole Malaj, Alicia Ann Edogamhe, Massimiliano Gallo and Cristiana Capotondi also feature.
Wednesday 23 September: Wonka’s The Golden Ticket
On Wednesday, Wonka’s The Golden Ticket brings a reality competition inside Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory. Lucky players face unpredictable games, tests and temptations. The format puts the fantasy setting at the centre of the competition.
Thursday 24 September: A Different World and films
A Different World arrives on Thursday. The series follows Deborah, Dwayne Wayne and Whitley Gilbert’s youngest child during her first year at Hillman College. She tries to step out of her parents’ shadow and establish her own legacy.
Maleah Joi Moon, Alijah Kai and Cornell Young IV star. Jordan Aaron Hall, Kennedi Reece, Chibuikem Uche, Jasmine Guy, Kadeem Hardison, Darryl M. Bell and Cree Summer also appear.
The same day adds four films. Clash of the Titans sees Sam Worthington’s Perseus battle to save Princess Andromeda. Project X follows three friends whose party gets out of control. The Man in the Iron Mask reunites the Musketeers for a royal switch. Finally, We’re the Millers pairs Jennifer Aniston and Jason Sudeikis in a fake-family road comedy.
