Channel 7’s Logies coverage reaches 3.97 million as Sam Pang takes Gold – Channel 7 says its live and exclusive coverage of the 66th TV WEEK Logie Awards and Red Carpet reached a combined 3.97 million Australians.
The Seven Network’s awards coverage reached 3.46 million people on Channel 7 and 7plus, while the awards show recorded a national total TV audience of 1.49 million.
For TV Central readers, the result gives Seven another strong argument for keeping the Logies as a live broadcast event. The 2026 ceremony combined a major entertainment audience with industry milestones, including Sam Pang’s Gold Logie win and the 70-year celebration of Australian television.
Seven says the awards audience was up 4% on the 2025 ceremony, marking the fourth consecutive year of growth since the Logies returned to Seven in 2023.
Logies Audience Grows Again
The 2026 TV WEEK Logie Awards ranked as the #1 show in all people, 25 to 54s, 16 to 39s and grocery shoppers in terms of reach, according to Seven.
The ceremony was hosted for the first time by Robert Irwin and featured performances from Peking Duk, Katie Noonan, Casey Donovan and Dannii Minogue.
Seven says the awards also delivered a record audience on 7plus of 165,000, up 63% on last year’s event.
Red Carpet And 7NEWS Deliver
Earlier in the night, the TV WEEK Logie Awards Red Carpet reached 2.31 million people and recorded a national total TV audience of 1.32 million, up 2% on 2025.
Seven says 7NEWS also had a strong Sunday, reaching 2.36 million with a national audience of 1.5 million. It was the night’s most watched program in total TV audience.
During the ceremony, 7NEWS and Sunrise won Best News Coverage or Public Affairs Report for their coverage of the Bondi terror attack.
Sam Pang, RFDS And Hall Of Fame Honours
The night saw The Front Bar‘s Sam Pang win the TV WEEK Gold Logie Award for Most Popular Person on Australian Television.
Seven’s A Country Practice was inducted into the TV WEEK Logie Awards Hall of Fame, alongside acclaimed actor Deborah Mailman and comedian Andrew Denton.
RFDS also delivered a major win for Seven, taking out Best Drama Program.
Seven Hails The Result
Southern Cross Media Group’s Managing Director, Television and Streaming, Angus Ross, said the Logies continue to capture the attention of millions of Australians and remain one of television’s most watched entertainment events.
Ross said the year-on-year growth highlighted the reach of free-to-air television, and described the 2026 ceremony as particularly special because it marked the 70th year of Australian television.
He also noted the introduction of the Bruce McAvaney Award for Most Popular Sports Presenter, calling it a fitting tribute to one of Seven’s most enduring sport broadcasting figures.
Seven’s Director of Sales, Television and Streaming, Katie Finney, said the TV WEEK Logie Awards remain embedded in Australian culture and demonstrate the reach and energy of television for audiences and advertisers.
