EXCLUSIVE | Healthy, Wealthy & Wise will not return to Channel 7 after its eight-episode revival aired in 2025.
TV Central can confirm the reboot has finished after one season. Chrissie Swan and the programme’s team of experts will not return with a new run in 2026.
The decision closes the latest chapter for a familiar Australian television brand. It also resolves the show’s status after Channel 7’s 2026 upfront presentation. At the time, TV Central reported that Healthy, Wealthy & Wise remained under review.
A brief return for an Australian television favourite
Healthy, Wealthy & Wise premiered on Channel 7 and 7plus at 7.00pm on Saturday, 27 September 2025. Its season finale aired on Saturday, 15 November.
The revival returned the format to Australian television after almost three decades. The original series screened on Network 10 between 1992 and 1998. It combined practical advice with entertainment across health, finance, food, travel and the home.
Swan gave the 2025 edition a warm and contemporary studio style. Each episode mixed interviews, makeovers, recipes and consumer information. The programme also featured stories filmed around Australia.
WTFN Entertainment produced the revival. Its factual and lifestyle slate also includes The Living Room, Bondi Vet, Paramedics and Code 1: Minute By Minute.
Chrissie Swan led a new team of experts
Swan was joined by specialists covering the programme’s broad lifestyle brief. Rachel Cole handled money, while Vincent “Dim Sim” Lim covered food. Chyka Keebaugh presented style segments, and Aimee Stanton tackled home projects.
Adam Morris covered motoring. Dr Mike Mrozinski presented health stories, while Dr Will Maginness focused on pets. Ash Wicks handled the show’s helpdesk segments.
Celebrity guests also faced Swan’s light-hearted “Box of Death” interview. They included Dave Thornton, Christie Whelan Browne, Joel Creasey and Shane Jacobson.
The revival retained the practical character of the original series. However, it widened the subject matter for a contemporary audience. Episodes covered cooking, finance, eye health, pet care, travel, technology and motoring.
The numbers behind the 2025 season
The premiere reached 1.8 million viewers nationally, according to Seven’s weekly audience reporting. It recorded a national average audience of 628,000.
Later episodes settled into a smaller Saturday-night audience. Even so, the programme regularly reached close to one million viewers across Australia.
For example, the episode in the week ending 26 October reached 978,000 viewers nationally. It delivered an average audience of 354,000. The following week’s instalment reached 985,000 viewers and averaged 329,000.
Those figures showed the heritage title could still attract viewers in an early Saturday-evening lifestyle slot. However, the programme will not progress to another season.
No second season for the Channel 7 revival
No further episodes are planned. The programme is also absent from Channel 7’s continuing 2026 slate.
The outcome relates to the revived edition hosted by Swan. It does not change the show’s place in Australian television history.
The 2025 season remains a notable attempt to revive a recognisable 1990s format. It paired the original title’s nostalgia with modern presenters and brand-funded production. Viewers could watch across broadcast television and 7plus.
Viewers can revisit TV Central’s original Healthy, Wealthy & Wise preview. It introduced the expert team and the programme’s mix of lifestyle segments.
