THE ODYSSEY – FINAL TRAILER RELEASED BY UNIVERSAL PICTURES – Universal Pictures has released The Odyssey final trailer, giving audiences a new look at Christopher Nolan’s mythic action epic ahead of its July 16 cinema release.
The new trailer places the spotlight on Nolan’s large-scale take on Homer’s foundational saga. It also teases the scope, cast and cinematic ambition behind one of the year’s major big-screen releases.
Alongside the trailer, Universal Pictures has released two new featurettes. Together, they take audiences behind the scenes of Nolan’s latest film and explore how the director has brought one of the greatest stories ever told to cinemas.
Christopher Nolan brings Homer’s epic to IMAX
Christopher Nolan writes and directs The Odyssey, with Matt Damon leading the ensemble cast.
The film also stars Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson and Lupita Nyong’o, with Zendaya and Charlize Theron.
This time, Nolan turns his attention to a mythic action epic shot across the world. In addition, the production uses brand new IMAX® film technology, which adds another major cinematic layer to the project.
The Odyssey brings Homer’s legendary saga to IMAX® film screens for the first time. As a result, the film continues Nolan’s long-running commitment to large-format theatrical storytelling.
New featurettes go behind the scenes
Universal Pictures has also released two new featurettes for The Odyssey.

A major cinema release for July
Emma Thomas and Christopher Nolan produce The Odyssey through Syncopy. Thomas Hayslip serves as executive producer.
With Nolan behind the camera and a major cast in front of it, The Odyssey arrives as one of July’s biggest cinema events. The final trailer adds to the anticipation, while the new featurettes show how much ambition sits behind the production.
