ALI G: WHO IZ I? trailer and poster released ahead of October cinema debut – Amazon MGM Studios has released the official trailer and poster for ALI G: WHO IZ I?, the new comedy starring Sacha Baron Cohen.
The film will open only in cinemas on Thursday, 22 October 2026.
For Australian cinema audiences, the release marks the return of one of Cohen’s most recognisable comic creations. It also puts ALI G: WHO IZ I? into the final quarter cinema calendar as a broad comedy release with an established character at its centre.
Ali G heads to America
The story finds Ali G shocked to discover that his long-term girlfriend Julie is eight months pregnant.
Faced with an extra mouth to feed, Ali heads to America to reclaim his former glory. However, the journey soon brings him up against new adversaries who threaten his future and the life of his child.
The film is directed by Sacha Baron Cohen, marking his feature directorial debut.
