SBS says its 2026 Tour de France and Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift coverage reached 6.15 million viewers across Total TV.
The 21-stage Tour de France reached 5.21 million viewers. The nine-stage Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift reached 1.51 million viewers.
The result continues a strong year of sport for SBS after FIFA World Cup 2026. It also shows the value of SBS On Demand for major events. The platform contributed 28.6% of Total TV viewing for the Tour de France, and 19.7% for the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift.
SBS Sport Builds Around Cycling
SBS Sport’s 2026 cycling coverage featured commentary and analysis from Cadel Evans, Caleb Ewan and Grace Brown. The team covered both events as Tadej Pogacar claimed his fifth Tour de France, and Demi Vollering won her second Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift.

SBS Director of Sport Ken Shipp said the network’s July schedule delivered a major run of global sport for Australian audiences.

SBS says its sport content across third-party platforms grew 450% year on year across the two cycling events. Combined views reached 660 million.
The Tour de France generated 555 million third-party platform views, up 405% year on year. The Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift generated 106 million views, up 812% year on year.
