Nine 2027 Upfront: Nine Neo launches AI-powered trading platform – Nine has announced Nine Neo, a single AI-powered workspace intended to connect planning, trading and measurement across the company’s broadcast, streaming, publishing and outdoor portfolio.
Unveiled as part of Nine’s 2027 Upfront, the commercial technology announcement sits behind the broadcaster’s wider Sofa to Street strategy. It is not a new viewer product, but it is part of the infrastructure Nine says will support how advertisers buy around Channel 9, 9Now, Stan and its other media assets.
One brief, one proposal and one place to trade
Nine says the platform will launch in Q2 and is intended to reduce separate buying processes to one connected environment. Its four pillars are AI-assisted planning, dynamic trading, simpler execution and integrated measurement.
The company says the planning tool can turn a brief into an optimised, bookable media plan, while its Total Trading architecture will bring metro and regional linear television into a single order-management and traffic solution. Nine also says the platform will integrate 22 million verified user IDs for end-to-end measurement.
From screens to streets
Nine Neo will also connect Nine’s 9Tribes audience segments to its digital out-of-home screens. The group has announced a partnership with CommBank iQ for campaign-level attribution using Nine’s audience data and transaction data from more than seven million cardholders, alongside Azira footfall data.
Chief sales officer Matt James described Neo as an Australian-made platform designed to reduce administrative back-and-forth. Nine says the broader rollout will give clients a way to plan activity across television, streaming, publishing and outdoor environments.

Meanwhile, the 2027 plan puts local content and platform investment at the centre of Nine’s wider offering. As a result, the announcement gives audiences a clearer view of how the group plans to connect television, streaming and related media. In addition, Nine says it will roll out the new initiatives nationally. Ultimately, the strategy is intended to support its 2027 audience and content plans.
