Nine 2027 Upfront: Channel 9 and 9Now unveil major 2027 slate – Channel 9 and 9Now have revealed a broad 2027 line-up of entertainment, news, factual programming and sport, with major changes for The Block, Married at First Sight and The Golden Bachelor Australia.
The release follows Nine’s announcement of new Today hosts Sylvia Jeffreys and Tom Steinfort. It places the broadcast and streaming services at the centre of a year that also includes the Ashes, Netball World Cup, Rugby World Cup and an expanded NBL presence.
Entertainment and factual highlights
Married at First Sight returns for series 14 with relationship expert Marryam Chehelnabi joining Alessandra Rampolla and John Aiken. The MAFS world will again continue on Stan through MAFS: After the Dinner Party.
Season 23 of The Block will see contestants tackle heritage restorations at Jacksons Hill in Sunbury, Victoria. The franchise will also receive a Stan extension, The Block: The House Next Door. Love Island Australia will also expand to Stan with Love Island Australia: Unseen. Uncut..
The Golden Bachelor Australia returns with two bachelors, while The Floor Australia returns for a third season with Roger Corser. Nine has also announced factual titles including LIGHT: The Ian Roberts Story, Police, Naked City, Events That Changed Australia, Sweat It Out! and returning medical series Emergency.
Sport and seasonal events
Nine will be the new home of The Salvation Army’s Carols in the Domain, hosted by Ally Langdon and James Bracey, live on 19 December 2026. The Grammy Awards will also arrive on Channel 9 and 9Now.
Its sporting calendar includes the Ashes, tennis, NRL, the Rugby World Cup, netball, swimming, the World Athletics Championships, basketball, golf, sailing and the road to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
