Scrubs season two key art arrives ahead of Disney+ premiere – Disney+ has released the official key art for season two of the Scrubs revival, with the medical comedy returning to Australian screens on Thursday 1 October.
The new season opens with two episodes. Disney+ will then release a new episode each week.
The image reunites Zach Braff, Donald Faison and Sarah Chalke at Sacred Heart, signalling the next chapter for the characters who helped make the original comedy a lasting television favourite.
Back on call at Sacred Heart
J.D., Turk and Elliot have moved from interns to established doctors. In season two, they will inspire a new generation while handling the usual personal and professional complications of hospital life.
The revival will mix familiar characters with new faces. Disney+ promises laughter, heart and surprises as the doctors navigate the next stage of their careers and friendships.
Zach Braff returns as John “J.D.” Dorian. Donald Faison again plays Christopher Turk, while Sarah Chalke is back as Elliot Reid. Ava Bunn also stars as Sam Tosh.
For Australian viewers, the weekly rollout means the show will play as an ongoing comedy appointment rather than landing all at once. That approach keeps the Sacred Heart reunion in the Disney+ conversation across October.
Creative team
Bill Lawrence, who created the original Scrubs, serves as an executive producer through Doozer Productions. Jeff Ingold and Liza Katzer also executive produce for Doozer.
Braff, Faison and Chalke are executive producers as well as starring. Aseem Batra is executive producer and showrunner. Mike Royce, Mathew Harawitz, Randall Keenan Winston and Michael Spiller also executive produce.
20th Television, part of Disney Television Studios, produces the series. Season one of the revival is already streaming on Disney+ in Australia.
