I Want Your Sex Australian cinema release set for August – VVS Films will release Gregg Araki’s I Want Your Sex in Australian cinemas on 27 August 2026.
The film stars Olivia Wilde, Cooper Hoffman, Mason Gooding, Chase Sui Wonders, Daveed Diggs and Charli XCX. It is the latest feature from Araki, whose previous films include Mysterious Skin and Nowhere.
I Want Your Sex had its world premiere at Sundance in 2026. It will also screen at the Melbourne International Film Festival in August before opening nationally.

About the film
In I Want Your Sex, fresh-faced Elliot, played by Hoffman, lands a job with renowned artist, icon and provocateur Erika Tracy, played by Wilde.
At first, the job appears to make Elliot’s fantasies come true. Erika taps him to become her sexual muse, but he soon finds himself out of his depth.
The story follows Elliot into a world shaped by sex, obsession, power, betrayal and murder. The release describes the film as an outrageous sex-comedy.
The cast also includes Mason Gooding, Chase Sui Wonders, Daveed Diggs and Charli XCX. Together, they join Wilde and Hoffman in Araki’s return to the big screen.
