Seven News was #1 for the night with a reach lead of 279 000 and an average audience lead of 216 000 over 9News. Farmer Wants a Wife was #4 with 1 757000 (998 000). 911 was #17 with 921 000 (427 000). S.W.A.T was #36 with 460 000 (179 000).

9News was #2 for the night. Lego Masters was #3 with 1 783 000 (707 000). Paramedics was #16 with 936 000 (418 000). Footy Classified was #45 with 383 000 (134 000).

The Project was #11 with 939 000 (370 000). MasterChef Australia was #11 with 1 152 000 (687 000). A repeat of FBI: Most Wanted was #19 with 869 000 (249 000). A second repeat of FBI: Most Wanted was #48 with 366 000 (183 000).

  • Lego Masters was Monday’s preferred entertainment program across Australia and in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It attracted a Total TV National Audience of 707,000 and a BVOD audience of 47,000 (up 7.3% on the same night last year).
  • 9News was the No.1 program of the night across the 5 City Metro and in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. In Melbourne, the bulletin was a massive 72,000 viewers ahead of its nearest competitor while Sydney’s bulletin led by 40,000 viewers. The combined national bulletins achieved a National Total TV Reach of 2.055 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.282 million (up 11.1% year-on-year). Its BVOD audience of 81,000 – up 48.4% year-on-year.
  • A Current Affair was Australia’s No.1 program at 7.00pm and was also a timeslot winner in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It registered a National Total TV Reach of 1.689 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.034 million. Its BVOD audience was 66,000 – up 38.9% on the same night last year.
  • Tipping Point was the afternoon game show of choice across the 5 City Metro and in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 1.403 million and a Total TV National Audience of 747,000, representing a 65.1% timeslot lift when compared to the corresponding day last year.
  • Today was the winning breakfast program in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It recorded a National Total TV Reach of 803,000 and a Total TV National Audience of 333,000.

The 9Network was the winning network on Monday across the 5 City Metro with People 25-54 and People 16-39.

It’s No Mystery, Younger Viewers Love MasterChef Australia.

Launch climbs 28% to 1.71 million viewers and #1 show in 16 to 39s.

The launch of MasterChef Australia (Monday 22 April) saw a 28% lift with 7-day viewing climbing to 1.71 million total national viewers and was the #1 show in 16 to 39s.

Last night, MasterChef Australia revealed the first mystery box of the season with Jamie’s parents making a surprise appearance.

MasterChef Australia Episode 6 (Monday 29 April).

  • Reached 1.15 million total national viewers.
  • Biggest 16 to 39s audience of the season!
  • #2 in its timeslot.
  • Lifted 10’s timeslot 120% year-on-year.
  • Had 39,000 live stream viewers, up 20% compared with the same episode last year.
  • Series: Biggest BVOD audiences ever! 124,000 live stream viewers up 13% compared with 2023 series average.

Also last night, 10 Bold was the #1 multi-channel and lifted 8% week-on-week and 12% in its key demo of over 40s.

Nickelodeon was also up 48% week-on-week and 61% in its key demo of under 40s.

10 News First was up 15% week-on-week plus Deal Or No Deal lifted 10’s timeslot 18% year-on-year.

On Sunday night, episode 5 of MasterChef Australia saw the first elimination with James Holmes’ squid dish not quite making the cut in the food dreams challenge, thus we said a tearful goodbye to James.  MasterChef Australia Episode 5 (28 April) reached 1.24 million total national viewers.

Last week, with 7-day viewing, the finale of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! (Sunday, 21 April) reached 1.55 million total national viewers.

Also, Week 17 (Sunday 21 April to Saturday 27 April) saw some impressive stats for Network 10.

  • 9.67 million people nationally watched 10 or 10 Play.
  • 10 Play continues its biggest year ever with 1.15 million viewers up 43% year-on-year and 33% across the year to date.
  • The launch of MasterChef Australia was #1 in its timeslot in total people, 25 to 54s and 16 to 39s.
  • MasterChef Australia is achieving its biggest BVOD audience ever and was the #2 show on commercial BVOD.
  • 10 has 4 of the top 10 shows of the year in 16 to 39s (Australian Survivor, I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! and MasterChef Australia)
