66th TV Week Logie Awards confirms Peking Duk, presenters and star-studded lineup — Peking Duk will perform at the 66th TV Week Logie Awards, with presenters and red carpet guests also confirmed.
The awards take place on Sunday, 16 August at The Star Sydney. Channel 7 and 7plus broadcast the ceremony live and exclusively, with Robert Irwin hosting the night.
For TV Central readers, the latest announcement gives this year’s Logies its entertainment shape. It also reinforces Channel 7’s major event focus. The broadcast brings together network favourites, streaming hits, sport faces, news names and Australian screen talent.
Peking Duk, the ARIA Award-winning Australian electronic duo of Adam Hyde and Reuben Styles, will take to the Logies stage days after the release of their debut album Paradise.
The album arrives on 14 August. It features Rico Nasty, Killer Mike and Matt Corby. Jack Thompson opens the record through a spoken word introduction.
Adam and Reuben said they were excited to bring their new single Thrills to the Logies. They will perform with singer Kye. The duo also teased more surprises for the broadcast.
Presenters Confirmed
The presenter list includes Simon Baker, Asher Keddie, Urzila Carlson, Guy Montgomery, Tim Minchin, Tom Gleisner and Mick Molloy.
Also joining the night are Todd Woodbridge, Eloise Hart, Shane Jacobson, Sophie Monk, Amanda Keller, Bruce McAvaney, Emily Symons and Kyle Shilling.
Meanwhile, Matt Shirvington, Nat Barr, Michael Usher, Mel Tracina, Melanie Bracewell and Rob Collins round out the confirmed presenters.
Red Carpet Names
The red carpet lineup includes Carrie Bickmore, Sam Pang, Eddie McGuire, Sonia Kruger, Philippa Northeast, Sam Reid and Tom Gleeson.
In addition, Leigh Sales, Claudia Karvan, Ray Meagher, Andy Lee, Samantha Armytage, Scott Cam, Grant Denyer and Larry Emdur are set to attend.
Other confirmed names include Georgie Parker, Richard Wilkins, Dylan Alcott, Matt Preston, Johnathan Thurston, Charlie Pickering, Kylie Gillies, Ally Langdon, Sylvia Jeffreys, David Campbell, Sarah Abo, Rodger Corser, Beau Ryan, Andy Allen and Poh Ling Yeow.
The broader guest list spans drama, comedy, reality, news and entertainment. It includes Sarah Ferguson, David Speers, Craig Reucassel, Gretel Killeen, Catriona Rowntree, Dr Chris Brown, Ricki-Lee Coulter, Abbey Gelmi, Tuuli Narkle, Mark Coles Smith, Chloé Hayden and Ayesha Madon.
Voting Remains Open
This year, the TV Week Logie Awards asked viewers to vote for their favourite 70 shows from the past seven decades. The vote marks 70 years of Australian television.
TV Week has already revealed shows ranked 70 to 31. On Logies night, the ceremony will celebrate the top 20.
Fans can vote in all Best Awards until 7.00pm AEST on Saturday, 15 August. Then, on Sunday, 16 August, the Bert Newton Award, Graham Kennedy Award, Ray Martin Award and Bruce McAvaney Award close at 7.30pm AEST.
Finally, the TV Week Gold Logie Award vote closes at 10.00pm AEST on Sunday, 16 August.
