SBS reveals all-star alumni team to celebrate 70 years of the Eurovision Song Contest – Australia’s not just showing up to Austria this year — we’re practically moving in.

As the Eurovision Song Contest hits a glittering 70-year milestone, SBS is going all in, turning the celebration into a full-blown Aussie takeover.

Delta Goodrem joins a dazzling constellation of global stars with her song Eclipse, and the homegrown love doesn’t stop there, as Australia’s own Milkshake Man Go-Jo is back to shake things up as an interval act in Semi-Final 1.

With more surprises still to come, including the hotly anticipated reveal of this year’s official spokesperson, SBS is going bigger, bolder and more Eurovision than ever.

This year, multi-hyphenate entertainer and global icon Courtney Act will present SBS’s exclusive commentary with special guest, former Australian Eurovision representative and international treasure, Voyager’s Danny Estrin. Don’t miss the LIVE and prime-time event coverage from the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna, Austria, from Wednesday 13 May – Sunday 17 May on SBS and SBS On Demand.

Following a hugely successful inaugural year as co-host, Courtney Act returns to the bright lights of the Eurovision Song Contest. With a formidable track-record on competition shows, Courtney first mesmerised audiences with history-making dual identity auditions in and out of drag on Australian Idol before ascending to international stardom on RuPaul’s Drag Race, clinching the UK Celebrity Big Brother crown and a dazzling second place run on Dancing With The Stars All Stars – all while illuminating the nuances of gender fluidity and championing LGBTIQ+ visibility.

Courtney Act said:

“Eurovision never fails to give me butterflies. The 70th anniversary in Vienna, the city where Australia’s story in this contest began, feels like the most spectacular place to celebrate how far we’ve all come.  I’m gonna call it now- Delta is going to be in the final. I’m predicting the kind of fever pitch excitement we saw when the Matildas took the World Cup by storm, if Delta does what I know she’s capable of, Sunday morning in Australia is going to be absolutely unhinged. Let’s bring home that trophy.”

Last year’s co-host, Tony Armstrong, is no longer able to join this year’s event due to a scheduling clash with other projects. SBS thanks Tony for the energy, humour and heart he brought to the 2025 coverage and looks forward to seeing his signature sparkle return to the network in the coming months.

Instead, Courtney will take the lead as host and be joined by the charismatic, keytar-wielding frontman Danny Estrin of Perth “synthsational” prog-metal outfit Voyager. Australian audiences will remember his blend of soaring vocals, retro flair and metal precision from the band’s larger-than-life turn representing the country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool — where they stormed into the top 10, finishing ninth with their euphoric anthem Promise.

Danny Estrin said:

“From watching Eurovision as a child, hosting Eurovision parties at uni, attending it as a fan, to being a performer with Voyager in 2023 was already a phenomenal journey. To be a special guest this year with the formidably fabulous Courtney Act is an honour and dream come true! I can’t wait to immerse myself in the Eurovisionnation once more for Vienna 2026 and lose my voice shouting for our very own amazing Delta to make us proud!”

Get ready for witty commentary, sparkling banter, and behind-the-scenes insights that bring every moment to life. Make sure you join in the conversation during the prime-time event coverage using the hashtag #SBSEurovision, with tweets and party pictures promoted on screen, where you can catch all the performances, interviews, and more.

SBS Head of Entertainment Emily Griggs said:

“This year’s 70th Eurovision celebrations are a chance to lean into the contest, returning to Vienna where Australia first competed in 2015. With Courtney’s long list of achievements, we know audiences are in safe hands, and the addition of Danny brings first-hand experience of what it means to represent Australia at the world’s largest live music event. And with our Eurovision spokesperson still to be announced, there’s more for fans to be excited about.”

Delta’s set to Eclipse the stage in Semi-Final 2

One of Australia’s most accomplished and globally recognised performers, Delta will take to the stage at the Wiener Stadthalle this May with her powerful new single Eclipse, bringing her signature vocals, cinematic pop sound and commanding live presence to one of the world’s biggest live music events.

Signing her first record deal at just 15, Delta exploded onto the global stage with her debut album Innocent Eyes — a 23-times Platinum phenomenon and one of the highest-selling albums in Australian history. The album produced five #1 singles and remained at #1 for a record-breaking seven and a half months – making Delta a household name, with one in every four homes in Australia owning a Delta Goodrem album.

Across her career, Delta has sold more than nine million albums worldwide, achieved five #1 albums and nine #1 singles, and earned 12 ARIA Awards. She has collaborated and toured with global icons including Celine Dion, Olivia Newton-John, Andrea Bocelli, Tony Bennett, Shania Twain, Backstreet Boys and Ricky Martin, captivating audiences across Europe, Asia and the US. In 2022, she launched her own label, ATLED Records, taking full creative control of her music and ushering in a new era defined by independence, ambition, and artistic conviction.

Eclipse was written by Delta Goodrem, Ferras Alqaisi, Jonas Myrin and Michael Fatkin (who also produced the single) and is available here and you can watch the video here.

Milkshake Man Go-Jo performs in Semi-Final 1

Australian fans have a “sweet, sweet” treat in store as Milkshake Man Go-Jo joins Austrian hosts Victoria Swarovski and Michael Ostrowski for the Semi-Final 1 interval act, performing a playful tribute to the differences between Austria and Australia.

It’s a moment sure to delight Aussie viewers and bring a touch of home to the Wiener Stadthalle.
