Better Homes and Gardens on Channel 7 S32E21 – storyline for tonight’s episode of Better Homes and Gardens on Channel 7.
JOHANNA – MAMA MILA’S CLEANING HACKS
Melbourne mum, Chantel Mila, has always been a neat freak, but when her daughter was diagnosed with asthma in 2018, she started to rethink all the commercial cleaning products she was using in her home. Chantel started making her own and sharing cleaning hacks online. Fast forward to today and Chantel’s the queen of clean, with a reach of over 4 million social media followers. Known to her followers as ‘Mama Mila’, Chantel now has two books and even a product line. Johanna’s meeting up with Chantel to find out if her home really is as clean as it looks on social media, how Chantel’s online business exploded, and her top cleaning hacks for your place.
ADAM – TONGUES MAKE TUNES
You might know Adam as a chippie, but back in the day he was the drummer in one of the biggest bands Melbourne has ever produced…well, that’s what his mum tells him at least! So, in a nod to his musical past, Adam’s making a one-of-a-kind drum, using timber offcuts from other projects. It’s called a ‘tongue drum’, because of the cut-out timber tongues on the top, which make different sounds depending on their length. It’s such a fun and easy project to make, and a whole lot easier to store than a regular set of drums – making it perfect for big kids and little kids alike.

COLIN – CHICKEN FRICASSÉE
The temps are really starting to drop, so Colin’s sharing a great recipe to warm you up from the inside out. His chicken fricasée, or French chicken stew, is made with a pancetta, mushroom, cream and tarragon sauce – which can be made the day before. Topped with chicken thighs and cooked in the oven until crispy, once you taste this dish, you’ll wish the cooler weather lasted all year round.

MELISSA – GARDEN THERAPY
Some of the most beautiful gardens can be found in the most unexpected of places and this week, Melissa’s found a real gem. Boroondara Cemetery, in Melbourne’s Kew, is over 165 years old, making it one of the oldest cemeteries in Victoria. But it’s so much more than that. Here, the gardens have been designed to create a sanctuary for emotional restoration, with plants thoughtfully picked for their symbolism and gentle beauty. From the rose garden to the avenues of trees and more, Melissa’s taking you on a tour of this stunning place designed to honour our loved ones and to foster peace.
JULIET – PLASTER CAST NAPKIN HOLDERS
A few weeks ago, Juliet made some clever table weights using curtain rings…and this week, she’s back with another project you can make with the leftover materials. She’s using plaster of Paris and some decorative moulds to tun the leftover curtain rings into napkin rings – and they’ll look perfect on your table for your next dinner party.
