Weekly Ratings Australia Week 36 2026: Channel 7 has won the week in Total People, People 25 to 54, People 16 to 39 and Grocery Shoppers 18+ in the final week-to-date shares.

Sunday 30 August 2026 to Saturday 5 September 2026.

Weekly Ratings Australia – Week 36

The weekly shares below use VOZ week-to-date results for free-to-air viewing from 6.00pm to midnight.

Total People Network Share – Free-To-Air

Rank Network Share
1 Seven 33.0%
2 Nine 27.9%
3 ABC 17.5%
4 10 12.2%
5 SBS 9.3%

Seven won five of the seven nights in Total People, with Nine taking Sunday and Tuesday before Seven built its lead across Monday and then Wednesday through Saturday. The gap became decisive late in the week, as Seven moved above 37% on Thursday and Friday and stayed clear on Saturday through AFL finals coverage, 7NEWS and Home and Away.

Nine’s early-week strength was anchored by The Block, which led entertainment on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The ABC’s strongest night was Monday, helped by 7.30, Australian Story, Media Watch and Planet America, while 10 was most competitive on Tuesday with The Traitors Australia and The Cheap Seats in the mix.

People 25 to 54 – Commercial Share

Rank Network Share
1 Seven 41.6%
2 Nine 38.7%
3 10 19.7%

Seven won People 25 to 54 for the week, but the win came from a strong finish rather than an all-week sweep. Nine led the demo from Sunday to Wednesday, powered by The Block and news, before Seven’s AFL finals run flipped the week from Thursday to Saturday.

The biggest 25 to 54 results for Seven came on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, each above 50%. 10’s best result was Tuesday, supported by The Traitors Australia and The Cheap Seats, while Have You Been Paying Attention? gave the network a stronger Monday than most of its back half of the week.

People 16 to 39 – Commercial Share

Rank Network Share
1 Seven 41.9%
2 Nine 39.2%
3 10 18.9%

Nine had the early advantage in People 16 to 39, winning Sunday through Wednesday, with The Block again central to its younger-skewing performance. Seven still won the final week-to-date result after three large AFL-driven wins from Thursday to Saturday, including shares above 50% on each of those nights.

10’s younger-demo results were strongest on Tuesday and Wednesday, when The Traitors Australia and The Cheap Seats helped the network stay more competitive. The weekly result, however, turned on Seven’s late-week sport, with Thursday Night Football Finals, Friday Night Football Finals and Saturday Night Football Finals all landing strongly.

Grocery Shoppers 18+ – Commercial Share

Rank Network Share
1 Seven 45.0%
2 Nine 38.0%
3 10 17.0%

Seven’s clearest commercial-demo win was in Grocery Shoppers 18+, where it won five nights and finished seven points ahead of Nine. Nine kept Sunday and Tuesday close, but Seven’s Thursday, Friday and Saturday shares all sat near 50%.

That grocery-shopper lead was built around a broad Seven prime-time spine: 7NEWS, Home and Away and the AFL finals schedule. 10’s best grocery-shopper results came on Tuesday and Monday, reflecting the network’s stronger early-week entertainment line-up before Seven’s sports-heavy finish widened the gap.
