NFL Melbourne Game live and free on Channel 7 and 7plus Sport – The NFL will touch down in Melbourne this Friday when the San Francisco 49ers face the Los Angeles Rams at the MCG, live and free on Channel 7, 7mate and 7plus Sport.
The historic regular season game will be shown from 9.00am AEST on Friday, 11 September, marking the first NFL regular season game played in Australia.
For Australian viewers, the broadcast gives the rapidly growing local NFL audience a free-to-air showcase event, with the game arriving alongside Seven’s broader 2026 NFL coverage across broadcast, streaming and support programming.
The fixture brings one of the NFL’s long-running NFC West rivalries to the MCG, with Seven promising a full event broadcast that takes in the build-up, stadium atmosphere, match coverage and the Jonas Brothers half-time performance.

Seven’s coverage will feature 7NFL expert Ben Graham, the first Australian to play in a Super Bowl, alongside former Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley.
The broadcast team will also include Nick Riewoldt, Cam Luke, Adam Rozenbachs, Xander McGuire, Mel McLaughlin and Kane Cornes, with special access and appearances from NFL RedZone host Scott Hanson, Super Bowl champion Cliff Avril, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and San Francisco 49ers chief executive Al Guido.
Seven says viewers can also expect interviews with Los Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams and San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy.
Game commentary will be led by Noah Eagle, with Luke Kuechly, Tom Pelissero and MJ Acosta-Ruiz also part of the coverage.
Seven Network Head of Sport Digital and NFL Executive Producer Kirsty Bradmore said the broadcast marked a major moment for the game in Australia.
“This is more than just a game; it’s a major sporting event and a celebration of the NFL’s incredible growth in Australia,” Bradmore said.
The coverage begins the night before with a special edition of The Agenda Setters – NFL, live and free on 7mate and 7plus Sport from 7.30pm on Thursday, 10 September.
Hosted by Nick Riewoldt, the preview show will feature Ben Graham and Josh Jenkins breaking down the key match-ups, storylines and players ahead of the Melbourne game.
Seven and 7plus Sport will also carry key weekly NFL matches through the 2026 season, including the playoffs and Super Bowl. The network’s NFL Tailgate coverage will expand to twice weekly, with a Friday preview show and Monday morning review.
