Winter’s here so let Clarissa warm you up with a bowl of the classic cold-weather food, chicken noodle soup. A good soup starts with a good stock and while store-bought stock is a time-saver, if you do have some time, Clarissa will show you how to make the best stock for this dish. For extra flavour, Clarissa’s adding fish balls, but you can go with any protein you prefer. In this cold weather, this soup is like a warm hug on the inside.
CHARLIE – BANGALOW WALKAROUND
Striking a balance between sophistication, elegance and practicality is a tricky prospect for any garden. Tonight, Charlie visits a home in the hinterland of Byron Bay that has dealt with this exact conundrum. The architecture and colour palette of the building have been complemented by the planting scheme of the garden and with three boys running around, the plants themselves are hardy enough to take whatever balls and games are thrown their way. But this garden isn’t just pretty to look at, there are plenty of clever ideas that you’ll be able to incorporate into your garden too.
MELISSA – SUSAN’S SUCCULENTS BY THE SEA

DR HARRY – THE SURPRISING ZOO INSIDE A GARDEN
In the middle of Wagga Wagga’s stunning Botanic Gardens is a surprising secret animal oasis! Run by the local council and completely free to the public, Dr Harry gets a tour of the newly refurbished zoo and aviary. There’s Kangaroos, Emus and some very friendly dingoes, along with lots of farmyard favourites and a huge free flight aviary. But there are a few issues with the feathered flock that Harry needs to sort out.
ADAM – STEAMBENT RAKE
With the inevitable march of time, some trades are dying out, sixth generation Cooper George Smithwick is doing his best to keep some alive. Tonight, this master tradesman teaches Adam the art of bending timber to make an old-fashioned pitchfork. If you love working with timber even half as much as Adam, you won’t want to miss this.
