Prime Video Sets September Premiere for Romantic Thriller Drawn Together — Prime Video has unveiled the teaser trailer and first-look images for its upcoming International Original film Drawn Together, the first instalment in the Enfrentados duology based on the bestselling novels by Mercedes Ron.
Starring Ester Expósito and Hugo Diego García, the romantic thriller will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on 9 September in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
Based on the popular novels Drawn Together and Drawn Apart, the film follows Marfil Cortés, the daughter of a powerful Spanish business tycoon whose seemingly perfect life in New York is shattered after she is suddenly kidnapped and mysteriously released.
In the aftermath, her father assigns the enigmatic Sebastian Moore as her personal bodyguard. Despite Marfil’s fiercely independent nature and Sebastian’s determination to remain professional and distant, the pair soon find themselves drawn to one another.
As they return to Spain, dangerous threats begin to emerge, forcing them to navigate a world where nothing – and no one – is what it seems.
Ester Expósito stars as Marfil, alongside Hugo Diego García as Sebastian. The cast also includes Eric Masip, Pablo Molinero, Zoe Bonafonte, Lluís Homar and Joaquín Ferreira.
The film is directed by Óscar Pedraza from a screenplay by Sofía Cuenca and is produced by Pokeepsie Films (Banijay Iberia), with acclaimed filmmakers Álex de la Iglesia and Carolina Bang serving as producers.
Drawn Together and its sequel Drawn Apart mark the third collaboration between Prime Video and bestselling author Mercedes Ron, following the hugely successful adaptations of the Culpables trilogy and Tell Me Softly.
With romance, danger and mystery at its core, Drawn Together looks set to become another major international hit for Prime Video when it premieres on 9 September.
