Netflix Unveils New Gabby’s Dollhouse Series, Sesame Street Collection and More Kids Content — Netflix is expanding its lineup of family-friendly entertainment, announcing new episodes of Gabby’s Dollhouse, additional Sesame Street content, fresh games for Netflix Playground and new real-world experiences for young fans and families.
The streaming giant says kids and family programming continues to be one of its biggest success stories, accounting for nearly 22 per cent of all viewing on Netflix during 2025, with a family title appearing in the Global Top 10 every week for almost four years.
More adventures in the world of Gabby’s Dollhouse
One of Netflix’s biggest preschool brands is getting even bigger.
Inspired by the global hit animated series, Netflix has commissioned an all-new competition series that will see talented young baker-and-maker duos take on whimsical baking and crafting challenges inspired by the magical world of Gabby’s Dollhouse.
Hosted by Laila Lockhart Kraner in character as Gabby, the untitled series will feature imaginative creations, cat-themed surprises and interactive moments that encourage viewers to join in the fun at home.
Four holiday-themed episodes will premiere later this year, with additional episodes arriving in 2027.
Meanwhile, Gabby and the Gabby Cats will return on 14 September for Season 14 of Gabby’s Dollhouse. The series was Netflix’s fourth most-watched show in the second half of 2025, generating approximately 108 million views.
“Since Gabby’s Dollhouse first premiered on Netflix in 2021, a world of creativity and imagination has exploded for our young audience and it only continues to grow,” said co-creators Jennifer Twomey and Traci Paige Johnson.
Sesame Street expands on Netflix
Netflix is also becoming an even bigger destination for Sesame Street fans.
The streaming service has launched the official Sesame Street collection, featuring more than 100 library episodes and specials, alongside episodes from Season 56, including the recently released Volume 3.
More than 20 additional library episodes will also arrive in July, including Sesame Street Classics and My Sesame Street Friends: My Abby Season 2.
New preschool favourites on the way
Netflix has also announced new seasons of two popular preschool series.
Dr. Seuss’s Red Fish, Blue Fish returns for Season 3 on 10 August. The animated preschool comedy follows an odd-couple pair of fish friends as they explore opposite concepts and discover the world around them.
Meanwhile, Sheriff Labrador returns for Season 2 on 31 August, with more adventures designed to teach children about safety, healthy habits, kindness and curiosity.
Bedtime Stories with Netflix Jr. arrives on the streamer
Families can now stream episodes of the award-winning Bedtime Stories with Netflix Jr. directly on Netflix.
The series features calming stories from beloved worlds including StoryBots, Trash Truck, The Creature Cases, Gabby’s Dollhouse and Dr. Seuss, helping children relax and prepare for bedtime.
Backed by real sleep science, the podcast series has become a major success, recording more than 16 million downloads across podcast platforms and Netflix Jr.’s YouTube channel.
More games coming to Netflix Playground
Netflix Playground, the dedicated gaming experience for children aged eight and under, is also receiving a major content update.
Later this year, the app will add new games including:
- PJ Masks: Save the Night
- My Very Hungry Caterpillar
- New experiences from My Little Pony
- PAW Patrol
- Trash Truck
- More Sesame Street content
A new collection of six KPop Demon Hunters mini-games is also now available.
The app is included with every Netflix membership and features ad-free gameplay, no in-app purchases and offline access.
Netflix expands beyond the screen
Netflix is also continuing to build real-world experiences for young fans and families.
As part of its Long Live Imagination campaign, the company recently transformed New York City’s Madison Square Park into a giant hopscotch playground and will bring the experience to Netflix House Philadelphia and Netflix House Dallas throughout the coming weeks.
The streamer is also expanding its “Little Streamers” programming with character meet-and-greets, arts and crafts activities and family events featuring favourites including CoComelon Lane and Sesame Street.
With new series, beloved returning favourites, games and immersive experiences, Netflix is continuing to position itself as one of the world’s leading destinations for kids and family entertainment.
