Tonight | Restoration Australia on ABC and ABC iview follows a former cop’s mission to save a 200-year-old farmhouse — Tonight on Restoration Australia, host Anthony Burke meets a horse-loving former police officer who is rebuilding her life while taking on the enormous challenge of restoring an historically significant farmhouse on the New South Wales South Coast.
In the season eight finale, viewers are introduced to Kelly, a former jockey turned police officer whose life changed dramatically after a fall from a trainee police horse left her with painful, lifelong injuries.
Despite the setbacks, Kelly’s love of horses has never wavered. Now working as a primary school teacher and studying psychology, she embarks on a new chapter, searching for the perfect home for her beloved stable of horses.
Her search leads her to an acreage featuring a decrepit 200-year-old farmhouse that is steeped in history but desperately in need of rescue.
With determination and a passion for preserving the past, Kelly sets out to breathe new life into the remarkable property. But with a building this old and restoration challenges around every corner, the question remains: can it be saved?
