North of North season 2: the Arctic comedy returns to Netflix Australia — Siaja is heading back to Ice Cove on Thursday 5 November 2026. Netflix is bringing the second season of North of North to Australian viewers, with Anna Lambe returning as the young Inuk mother rebuilding her life in a small Arctic community.

The new episodes follow a woman trying to turn the bold choices of season one into a workable future. That makes this more than a change of scenery for viewers looking for a new comedy: the series centres an Inuit family and community, with Inuit creators Stacey Aglok MacDonald and Alethea Arnaquq-Baril shaping the story.

Netflix Australia’s series page currently lists the first season and a season-two trailer. The new season’s arrival date is 5 November; check the service for the precise local release hour.

What changes for Siaja in season two?

After her public break with her marriage, Siaja wants more control over what comes next. At the community centre, she pushes her boss Helen to trust her with greater responsibility. At home, she wants to learn about a half-sister she did not know she had.

She is also raising her daughter Bun while finding a new balance with her mother, Neevee, and her newly discovered father, Alistair. Meanwhile, Siaja is open to dating again. Those threads give the comedy its mix of family tension, ambition and awkward small-town encounters.

Netflix frames Siaja’s efforts around pilimmaksarniq, an Inuktitut concept of developing skills through observation, practice and effort. It fits a season about learning to sustain change after the dramatic decisions that began the series.

Who is in North of North?

Lambe leads the cast as Siaja. Mary Lynn Rajskub returns as Helen, Maika Harper plays Neevee, Jay Ryan plays Alistair and Keira Belle Cooper plays Bun. The series is a Netflix and CBC coproduction made in partnership with APTN.

If you missed season one, the Australian Netflix listing offers a straightforward starting point before the new episodes. Its story introduces Siaja, her close-knit hometown and the family relationships that season two develops.
