Travis Bazzana one step from World Series as MLB playoffs air on ESPN – Australian rookie Travis Bazzana and the Cleveland Guardians are one series away from the World Series. ESPN will show the American and National League Championship Series live as baseball’s final four teams contest places in the 2026 decider.

For Australian audiences, Bazzana gives the American League series a local focus. ESPN’s announced schedule provides live morning and lunchtime coverage in Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT), with games available through Disney+, Foxtel, Kayo Sports and Fetch TV.

Cleveland meets the Tampa Bay Rays in the American League Championship Series. The Milwaukee Brewers face the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League series. Tampa Bay swept the New York Yankees, while Cleveland recovered from a 2–0 deficit against the Chicago White Sox in its Division Series. Milwaukee took a 1–0 lead over Los Angeles with a 2–1 win in its opening game.

Bazzana’s rookie season

Bazzana has appeared in 124 regular-season games for Cleveland, recording 110 hits, 15 home runs, 57 runs batted in and 19 stolen bases with a .245 batting average. He also earned an MLB All-Star selection in his rookie campaign. The former number one MLB Draft pick has therefore carried his first major-league season into October’s biggest games.

A Championship Series win would take the Guardians and their Australian infielder into the World Series. It would also add another chapter to a season that has already seen Bazzana become a regular in Cleveland’s line-up.
