TOTAL TV
The NRL Grand Final match on Nine rose by 17% to receive a Total TV audience of 2, 765 000 viewers. The presentation component of the telecast increased by 16% to 2, 212 000 and the pre match entertainment increased by 11% to 1, 549 000. The Post Match coverage uplifted 15% to 832 000.
7News Spotlight rose 9% to 467 000 for Seven.
The Amazing Race uplifted 44% to 540 000 and Hawaii Five-0 rose 33% to 240 000 viewers.
ABC shows increased significantly due to the NRL with Spicks and Specks up 29% to 679 000 and Savage River up a steep 69% to 733 000.

Analysis
Seven had the Supercars Championship Bathurst 1000 during the day and had 1, 060 000 for the podium portion of the telecast, 774 000 viewers for the race and 438 000 for the finish line. This lead-in propelled Seven News to a win with 1, 085 000 and a win in all capital cities. Australia’s Got Talen opened with a healthy 645 000 viewers. Larry Emdur’s special report on the property market as part of 7NEWS Spotlight was watched by 304 000.
Nine News dropped to 5th overall for the night. The Block came in strong ranking as the third most watched program for the day recording 904 000 viewers. 60 Minutes recorded 567 000 viewers.
The finale of The Amazing Race Australia had 376 000, but then rose to 438 000 to announce the winners. Hawaii Five-0 had 143 000 for the 8:30pm repeat and 106 000 for the new episode at 9:30pm. The repeat episode was played in the correct production order, but had previously aired earlier in the year, due to the episode being part of a crossover in the NCIS universe.
Spicks and Specks had 413 000 viewers, whilst Savage River 349 000. Silent Witness aired a new episode around 9:30pm to 209 000 viewers.
