Budget 2025 on Sky News Australia live coverage – With only weeks left before Australians head to the polls, Sky News Australia’s expert team will deliver live coverage and analysis as Treasurer Jim Chalmers presents the Albanese Government’s fourth Federal Budget.

The pre-election Budget 2025 could be make or break for the Albanese Government as it outlines its policies that will define the election campaign.

After delivering two consecutive surpluses, Treasurer Chalmers has confirmed there will be a deficit in this year’s Budget.

Budget 2025 coverage begins at 4:30pm with a special edition of Business Now to preview the night ahead with Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood and Sky News Business Reporter Ed Boyd.

Then at 5:00pm, The Kenny Report with Chris Kenny will foreshadow the key issues and their potential budget and policy implications.

From 6:00pm, Peta Credlin will host a special 90-minute Budget edition of Credlin. Peta will examine the role the budget will play in the Federal Election contest.

At 7:30pm, tune in for complete coverage of Treasurer Jim Chalmers’ speech as he delivers the Albanese Government’s Budget 2025, live from Parliament House, Canberra.

For immediate analysis following the Treasurer’s speech, at 8:00pm join Sky News Chief News Anchor Kieran Gilbert and his expert panel including Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell, Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood and Sky News Host Sharri Markson.  Kieran Gilbert will also be joined throughout the night by Sky News Host Laura Jayes, Political Contributor Chris Uhlmann and former Labor Cabinet Minister in the Rudd-Gillard Governments Stephen Conroy, for their analysis of the policies and politics underpinning the pre-election Budget.

From 9:00pm, Shadow Treasurer Angus Taylor joins live from the Sky News Parliament House studio in Canberra with the Coalition’s reaction to the Budget, plus political reactions from Independent MP’s Zali Steggall and Dai Le, Independent Senator Jacqui Lambie and Greens MP Max Chandler-Mather.

Host of The Bolt Report Andrew Bolt and former Labor Cabinet Minister in the Hawke-Keating Governments and Sky News Political Contributor Graham Richardson will also provide their analysis of Budget 2025.

At 9:30pm, Paul Murray will host a 90-minute special edition of Paul Murray Live.  Paul will offer a comprehensive analysis of the Budget’s key components, breaking down its significance for the country providing viewers with a clear understanding of the government’s financial decisions and their potential implications.

Following this at 11:00pm, The Late Debate with James Macpherson, Liz Storer and Caleb Bond will offer their perspectives and bring viewers the first look at how the newspapers are reporting on Budget 2025.
