Tonight | The Rookie on Channel 7: Nolan protects a man he distrusts – John Nolan is ordered to protect a man he does not trust in the new episode of The Rookie. At the same time, Lucy and Celina pursue a promising lead, while Lopez has reservations about Wesley’s new position. Out Of Time airs Monday 12 October 2026 at 9.10pm on Channel 7.
The episode gives the LAPD team several pressures at once. Nolan’s assignment asks him to keep a person safe despite his doubts about that person, while Lucy and Celina’s lead may take their investigation in a different direction.
Nolan faces an uneasy protection assignment
Lopez faces a more personal conflict. Wesley’s new role complicates her response, though the episode information does not disclose what decision she makes or how the case ends.
Nolan remains the oldest rookie in the LAPD, a character whose previous life experience often shapes the way he deals with unfamiliar people. That perspective is central to a protection job where trust is already in short supply.
Viewers can stream the episode on 7plus from 6pm before its later television screening. That earlier release is separate from the 9.10pm Channel 7 broadcast.
