Recap | Four-chair turns fuel The Voice Blind Auditions on Channel 7 – The Voice delivered two four-chair turns, another win for Richard Marx and a third secret save from Tones And I in Episode 3.
Sam Cliffe joined Team Ronan after a major coach battle, while Tika Cetinich and Liam O’Neill both chose Team Richard. Meanwhile, 18-year-old Lilita Keni received no chair turns but remained in the competition when hidden fifth coach Tones And I offered her a second chance.
For TV Central viewers, the episode strengthened two early storylines. Richard now has the largest team after three episodes, while Tones has quietly assembled three artists without the four main coaches knowing she is part of the competition.
Sam Cliffe sparks a four-chair contest
New Zealand music teacher Sam Cliffe, 27, performed Alex Warren’s Ordinary. The father of two convinced Melanie C, Ronan Keating, Kate Miller-Heidke and Richard Marx to turn their chairs.
His performance then produced one of the season’s liveliest coach debates. Ronan, Kate and Richard disagreed about the opening, while Melanie praised the way Sam controlled his nerves and completed the song.
After hearing all four pitches, Sam selected Team Ronan.

Tika Cetinich brings rock power to Team Richard
Victorian singer Tika Cetinich, 35, took on Journey’s Separate Ways and earned the second four-chair turn of the night.
Tika revealed that years of self-doubt had stopped her from pursuing music professionally, despite regularly performing live. However, her Blind Audition gave the coaches little reason to question her stage credentials.
Richard praised Tika’s energy and stage presence, while Kate described her as an all-powerful performer. Tika ultimately chose Team Richard.

Liam O’Neill finds the right range
Travelling plumber Liam O’Neill, 23, performed The Fray’s You Found Me. Liam has spent the past year travelling around Australia with his dog while pursuing music on the road.
Richard and Ronan turned for the Victorian singer after hearing his distinctive tone and storytelling. Richard felt the performance grew stronger when Liam settled into a more comfortable vocal range, and that feedback helped him secure the artist.

Tones And I gives Lilita Keni another chance
Lilita Keni, 18, from the ACT performed Beyonce’s Listen. She shared her determination to pursue music despite not receiving support from her father.
None of the four visible coaches turned. Melanie observed that Lilita’s confidence appeared to fade once she realised the chairs were staying still.
Yet the audition was not the end of Lilita’s journey. Watching from her hidden room, Tones And I heard a powerful voice with more potential to uncover. She selected Lilita for private mentoring and a later return to the Blind Auditions.
