NCIS: Origins brings Gibbs and DiNozzo back together — when Australians can watch – Mark Harmon and Michael Weatherly reunite on screen as Leroy Jethro Gibbs and Tony DiNozzo in NCIS: Origins. For Australians, the key distinction is where they watch. Paramount+ carries the current third season, while Channel 10 follows a separate free-to-air timetable.
The episode, titled “Return of the Mack”, airs in the United States on Tuesday 20 October. The Australian Paramount+ page lists new NCIS: Origins episodes each Wednesday. The reunion should therefore join the Wednesday 21 October release cycle here. Paramount+ has not specified an Australian release hour. The service keeps Australians with the current US season, but a simultaneous minute-by-minute stream remains unverified.
Why the reunion matters
CBS says Gibbs heads to NCIS headquarters in Washington, DC, after a shooting in the season-three premiere. He asks the newly appointed director DiNozzo for help. It brings the pair back into the same story after years apart. According to TVLine, Harmon and Weatherly last shared a scene in the NCIS season 13 finale, “Family First”, in May 2016.
The meeting also bridges two eras of the franchise. Austin Stowell plays a younger Gibbs in NCIS: Origins, while Harmon narrates. The new episode puts the older Gibbs on screen with DiNozzo once more. It goes beyond the familiar voiceover.
Where to watch NCIS: Origins in Australia
Paramount+ Australia lists three seasons of NCIS: Origins and advertises new episodes on Wednesdays. TV Central’s October highlights listed season three from 7 October. Paramount+ is therefore the current-season option for Australians. They need not wait for a free-to-air broadcast to see this reunion.
Channel 10’s public episode page currently displays season one. We could not verify a Channel 10 date for season two or this season-three reunion episode. Therefore, viewers should not assume the main channel will screen it next week. The Paramount+ release and Channel 10 broadcast follow distinct schedules.
