The Mob trailer reveals Parker Posey’s Disney+ reality competition – Disney+ has unveiled the trailer and key art for The Mob, a celebrity reality contest set in an Italian villa. The series premieres in Australia on Monday, 26 October 2026, while US viewers will find it on Hulu.

For Australian viewers, the release confirms Disney+ as the local streaming home. The format brings together familiar faces from reality television, music and acting, then gives one contestant control over the rest of the group. That power struggle, rather than a conventional elimination vote alone, is the central hook.

Parker Posey hosts the series and is also an executive producer. Celebrities will complete mob-movie-inspired jobs to survive and compete for up to $250,000 in cash prizes. Disney’s Australian announcement does not specify the currency of that figure.

How does The Mob work?

The contestants choose a “don” with authority over who makes money, who stays and who is “whacked” from the game. But that position depends on loyalty: the family can rise against its leader. Each episode sends the group on a new job as alliances and control shift inside the villa.

The show comes from executive producers associated with The Traitors, but its premise is distinct: the players know who holds power, and the question is whether the don can retain it.
