Samsung TV Plus launches Luke Nguyen’s World FAST channel in Australia – Australian-Vietnamese chef, restaurateur and television presenter Luke Nguyen now has a dedicated channel on Samsung TV Plus.
Luke Nguyen’s World is available in Australia as a subscription-free, ad-supported channel. It brings together more than 95 episodes from nine series, following Nguyen’s food, culture and travel experiences around the world.
The launch gives Samsung TV Plus its first local creator-led FAST channel in Australia. It also turns a library of programs previously seen across traditional television and international markets into an always-available destination built around one Australian presenter.
What is on Luke Nguyen’s World?
The channel draws on nine of Nguyen’s television series. Across more than 95 episodes, he explores the connections between food, communities and culture in destinations around the world.
Nguyen’s programs have previously aired in more than 150 countries. Samsung describes the new service as a first-to-FAST channel, bringing that catalogue together in a curated linear stream rather than requiring viewers to choose individual episodes.
FAST stands for free ad-supported streaming television. The format resembles a traditional scheduled channel, but viewers access it through an internet-connected platform without paying a separate subscription fee.
Samsung expands creator-led television
The Australian debut is part of a wider Samsung TV Plus expansion across international markets. Luke Nguyen’s World is also launching in New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand and the Philippines.
In the United Kingdom, Samsung has partnered with 208 Studios to launch three creator channels. Happy Place features interviews from Fearne Cotton’s podcast, while Golf Life comes from Tubes, Ange and Jimmy Bullard. The third channel comes from millennial news and entertainment brand JOE Media.
Samsung TV Plus is also expanding Mark Rober TV into Brazil and Mexico. The former NASA engineer’s science and engineering channel will offer dubbed programming around the clock in those markets.
Those launches build on a creator roster that already includes Dhar Mann, Michelle Khare, The Try Guys and Smosh. Samsung says the strategy gives digital creators access to a television environment while offering viewers a curated alternative to social video feeds.
“The Creator economy is no longer a trend – it’s a global phenomenon that’s reshaping how audiences discover and engage with content,” Samsung TV Plus senior vice-president and global head Salek Brodsky said.
“Samsung TV Plus has been at the forefront of that evolution, giving the world’s leading digital storytellers a global platform to grow their brands, while expanding their reach to millions of viewers in a true television environment.”
How to watch Samsung TV Plus
Samsung TV Plus says it reaches more than 100 million monthly active users worldwide. The service carries almost 5,000 ad-supported linear channels across 30 countries, alongside thousands of shows and movies available on demand.
In Australia, the service is available on compatible Samsung TVs and Galaxy devices, as well as Samsung Smart Monitor and Family Hub products. No additional subscription is required.
The addition of Luke Nguyen’s World strengthens the local identity of the Australian service. It also gives Nguyen’s established television catalogue a single home that viewers can enter like a conventional food and travel channel.
Luke Nguyen’s World is now available on Samsung TV Plus in Australia.
