AMC+, Acorn TV, Shudder and HIDIVE October 2026 highlights – AMC Global Media has set a packed October streaming line-up spanning unexplained phenomena, Italian murder mysteries, Halloween horror and new anime simulcasts.
Archive X: Unexplained Phenomena leads the AMC+ schedule, while Emilia Fox returns for Signora Volpe season three on Acorn TV. Shudder builds towards Halloween with seven original or exclusive premieres and a substantial library refresh. Meanwhile, HIDIVE adds three new subtitled simulcasts alongside the continuing second season of Reincarnated as a Sword.
For Australian viewers, the four-service guide covers distinct genres and subscription options. Archive X: Unexplained Phenomena
New docuseries premieres Thursday 1 October exclusively on AMC+.
Professor Jeffrey J. Kripal, one of the leading scholars of extraordinary human experiences, hosts this exploration of incidents that conventional explanations cannot easily contain. The series builds on work conducted at Rice University’s Center for the Impossible, home to one of the world’s largest collections of paranormal research.
Everyday people, many speaking publicly for the first time, recount deeply personal encounters with unexplained phenomena. Their testimony expands an archive containing more than one million pieces of evidence collected across almost a century.
The cases cover telepathy, near-death experiences, UFO encounters, alleged alien abductions, prophetic dreams and messages from beyond. The series also draws on the work of Pulitzer Prize-winning Harvard psychiatrist Dr John E. Mack and bestselling author Whitley Strieber. Together, the accounts ask whether apparently separate mysteries might be connected.
Love After Lockup: Relationship Rehab
New series premieres Saturday 3 October on AMC+.
Five fan-favourite couples from the Love After Lockup franchise enter a programme designed by psychiatrist and relationship expert Dr Ish Major. The couples confront old wounds, hidden resentments and the continuing pressures that have shaped their relationships after incarceration.
Difficult conversations and emotional breakthroughs force each pair to examine what keeps them together, what stands between them and whether their relationship can survive. As buried secrets and painful truths surface, Dr Ish helps them decide whether their partnership can be repaired or has moved beyond saving.

The Mysterious Death of Eazy-E
Docuseries binge premieres Friday 9 October on AMC+.
Eazy-E’s daughter Ebie joins her mother Tracy and hip-hop journalist Jasmine Simpkins to investigate the rap legend’s final days. Their search brings them to eyewitnesses, previously unseen footage and long-running theories surrounding his death.

Signora Volpe season three
Season premieres Monday 5 October exclusively on Acorn TV and AMC+.
Emilia Fox returns as former British spy Sylvia Fox. After recovering mentally and physically from her abduction at the end of season two, Sylvia is again enjoying life in Italy. However, she is still waiting for answers from her former husband Adam Haines about his past dealings with her kidnapper.
The new mysteries include the murder of a local winery owner and the discovery of a beautiful young man dead in the bed of a powerful couple. The couple insists they have never seen him before, leaving Sylvia to determine how he got there and why he was killed.
Sylvia’s relationship with Carabinieri captain Giovanni Riva also deepens. The finalisation of Riva’s divorce and his desire to settle permanently in Umbria begin to threaten Sylvia’s fiercely protected independence.
Dark Winds season one
Season premieres Monday 26 October on Acorn TV.
Set in 1971 at a remote Navajo Nation outpost near Monument Valley, Dark Winds follows Tribal Police lieutenant Joe Leaphorn, played by Zahn McClarnon. A series of seemingly unrelated crimes draws him towards a truth that also exposes wounds from his own past.
Kiowa Gordon co-stars as new deputy Jim Chee, who returns with old scores to settle from his youth on the reservation. The two officers must confront dangerous forces, each other and their personal demons as their investigation becomes increasingly complicated.

Infirmary
New film premieres Friday 2 October exclusively on Shudder and AMC+.
A guard disappears during his first night at an old psychiatric hospital in 2023. His body-camera footage records unexplained incidents that continue to baffle investigators. The film stars Paul Syre Lee, Mark Anthony Williams and Danielle Kennedy.
V/H/S/Mixtape
New film premieres Friday 9 October exclusively on Shudder and AMC+.
The ninth V/H/S instalment turns music and sound into the source of terror. Its anthology stories use rhythm and audio to haunt, possess and destroy, mixing cosmic horror, psychological suspense, extreme splatter and practical effects.
Segments come from filmmaker Ernest Dickerson, hip-hop artist RZA, director David Moreau and filmmaker Renee Zhan. Zhan’s contribution features original puppets created by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop.
The film also includes music-video interludes directed by Flying Lotus and a new music video from first-time filmmaker Tobias Forge. Shock-metal band GWAR also appears, extending the anthology’s collision of horror, music and cult cinema.
Hallowarrior
New film premieres Friday 16 October exclusively on Shudder and AMC+.
Milly Shapiro stars as Pumpkin, the last girl on Earth and the only survivor of a humanity-ending plague. On Halloween eve, she scavenges the wasteland for supplies and maintains the lonely holiday ritual that has helped her endure.
The arrival of a violent group of raiders, led by Shannyn Sossamon’s Thalia, breaks that routine. Outnumbered but armed with candy, ingenuity and weapons, Pumpkin must fight to survive the night.
The Cycle
New film premieres Friday 23 October exclusively on Shudder and AMC+.
Police discover a body beside a horrific crime scene, but their only lead is the victim’s estranged daughter. She must unravel the disturbing secret her father believed he had taken to the grave. Deborah Ann Woll of True Blood and Daredevil stars alongside Burn Notice‘s Jeffrey Donovan.
The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula season seven
Season premieres Tuesday 27 October exclusively on Shudder and AMC+.
The four-time Emmy-nominated competition returns for its tenth anniversary. Created and hosted by the Boulet Brothers, Dragula is Shudder’s highest-performing unscripted original franchise and one of the service’s most popular series.
Season seven assembles another group of underground artists for elaborate performance, design and elimination challenges. The cinematic sequences pay tribute to the grimy, tactile VHS horror of the 1980s and 1990s.
Guest judges include Rose McGowan, Doug Jones, David Dastmalchian, Harvey Guillén, Rachel True, Darren Stein, Lloyd Kaufman, Brandon Rogers, James A. Janisse, Chelsea Rebecca, Yvie Oddly, Lauren LaVera, Bailey Sarian and Howard Berger. Former winners Landon Cider, Dahli and Asia Consent also join the season.
Big Baby
New film premieres Friday 30 October exclusively on Shudder.
A horror writer draws inspiration from nightmares about a killer wearing a baby mask. When his life begins to collapse, he discovers that Big Baby’s murderous rampage may be more than fiction.
Spider One, director of Shudder titles Little Bites and Allegoria, directs the film. Cher serves as an executive producer.
Hunting Matthew Nichols
New film premieres Saturday 31 October exclusively on Shudder.
Two decades after her brother vanished on Vancouver Island, a documentary filmmaker sets out to solve his missing-person case. Disturbing new evidence leads her to believe that he may still be alive. Miranda MacDougall and Markian Tarasiuk star.

Thursday 1 October
Curse of the Ghoul Logs brings back the candlelit jack-o’-lanterns created by the filmmakers behind Hallowarrior. This new hour-long atmospheric special features multiple pumpkins and is designed to set the scene for Halloween viewing.
Lake Mungo follows the unsettling events that begin after a girl is found drowned in a lake. Its companion title, Lake Mungo Revisited, brings together cast and crew interviews, expert commentary and newly uncovered behind-the-scenes material to examine the mockumentary’s enduring reputation.
Re-Animator follows a medical student whose experiments centre on bringing dead tissue back to life. Bride of Re-Animator continues the story as Herbert West and Dan Cain attempt to create a woman from dead tissue.
Monday 5 October
Harbinger brings sole survivor Julia back to the home she shared with serial killer Decker. A ghost-hunting television programme discovers a fairground fortune-telling machine that appears to reveal the crew’s fates one by one.
Wednesday 7 October
God of Frogs introduces a hungry elemental creature living deep in the jungle. It emerges every quarter-century to feed, with its fate repeatedly tied to the same human family.
The Monster Within centres on the reclusive Garret, who inherits his family’s 100-acre farm. Something ancient and hungry lies beneath the property, forcing him to decide what he will sacrifice to keep it buried.
Monday 12 October
Jitters follows Detective Collymore, a divorced father investigating the death of a woman named Tiffany. What initially appears natural soon leads him towards a much more frightening explanation.
Wednesday 14 October
The Mill Killers sends four women back to their abandoned hometown. A stalker appears to know their shared secret, although their own guilt may be just as dangerous.
Thursday 15 October
The Curse follows an orphaned teenager dominated by an aunt determined to keep him under her control at any cost.
Etheria Film Night 2026 showcases new horror, science-fiction, fantasy, action and thriller shorts from emerging women directors. The annual programme has become one of the genre’s prominent competitive showcases.
Wednesday 21 October
The North Witch follows five women searching for a cabin that mysteriously disappeared 60 years earlier. They soon realise a sinister figure is watching them, turning the expedition into a fight for survival.
The Innkeepers unfolds during the final days of the Yankee Pedlar Inn. Two employees determined to expose the hotel’s haunted past begin experiencing disturbing events as old guests appear to check in.
The Autopsy of Jane Doe begins when Sheriff Burke delivers an unidentified body to coroners Tommy and Austin Tilden. Their autopsy produces impossible findings and a mystery that increasingly threatens their lives.
Sunday 25 October
Fangoria Chainsaw Awards celebrates the year’s best horror films, with Final Destination and Chucky star Devon Sawa hosting the annual ceremony.
Joe Bob’s Halloween House Party invites viewers to an early Samhain celebration. Joe Bob Briggs and Darcy the Mail Girl host a seasonal double feature filled with tricks, treats and characteristically gruesome surprises.
Wednesday 28 October
The R.I.P Man follows a serial killer with an oral condition who targets young adults and removes one tooth from each victim. A family’s hidden history may hold the key to stopping the murders.
HIDIVE October 2026 highlights
Reincarnated as a Sword season two
New subtitled simulcast episodes stream every Wednesday until the 16 December season finale. The English dub premieres Thursday 22 October.
The isekai series returns to the story of a nameless sword reincarnated from a former human life. Using telekinesis, he travels through a fantasy world, collecting abilities until he encounters Fran, a young girl fleeing a monster.
Fran uses the sword to defeat the creature, names him Shishou and becomes his wielder. The pair set out as adventurers, while Fran pursues her parents’ dream of becoming the first member of the Black Cat Tribe to evolve into a more powerful beastkin form.
Shinji Ishihira directs the second season. Takahiro Nagano handles series composition and scripts, Atsuko Saito provides character designs and C2C produces the animation.
I’m Dating a Dark Summoner
Subtitled simulcast premieres Monday 5 October on HIDIVE.
This short-form romantic comedy pairs Amona, a dark summoner and demi-human, with Roni, an exceptionally serious priest. When Roni welcomes Aruni into his adventuring party, everyone expects immediate conflict. Instead, the two apparent rivals spend the night together on their first day.
Seiya Miyajima writes and directs the series, with character designs by Takahiro Sasaki and production by Deregula.
Nia Liston: The Merciless Maiden
Subtitled simulcast premieres Tuesday 6 October on HIDIVE.
A celebrated hero reaches the end of her life wishing for an opponent powerful enough to defeat her in battle. She awakens reincarnated as Nia Liston, a beautiful but physically frail young woman.
Nia treats her second life as another chance to pursue strong opponents. Her enthusiasm for combat soon creates chaos wherever she goes. Motoki Nakanishi directs, Gigaemon Ichikawa oversees series composition and Konami Animation produces the series.
TETSURYO! Meet with Tetsudou
Subtitled simulcast premieres Friday 9 October on HIDIVE.
The slice-of-life anime is based on TOMYTEC’s Tetsudou Musume, or Railway Girls, franchise. College student Misaki wants to escape the routine of daily life and find something that inspires her.
After arriving on campus, she encounters the Railway Travel Club. Its members open a new world of journeys, friendships and possibilities along Japan’s railways. Misuzu Hoshino directs, Aya Satsuki handles series composition, Naonori Hashimoto provides character designs and EAST FISH STUDIO produces the animation.
