Tennis
- Coming from a set down, Matt Ebden and John Peers staged a late charge to overpower the fourth-seeded Americans to win Australia’s first Tennis Gold Medal since ‘The Woodies’ won the Men’s Doubles at Atlanta 1996.
Swimming
- Kaylee McKeown finished fourth in the Women’s 200m Individual Medley, but was elevated to the Bronze Medal after Alex Walsh was disqualified for an illegal turn.
- Ariarne Titmus won her sixth individual and eighth overall Olympic Medal with Silver in the Women’s 800m Freestyle, finishing second behind Katie Ledecky (USA) in a repeat of the result from Tokyo.
- Shayna Jack and Meg Harris have qualified for the Women’s 100m Freestyle Final in a race where Sweden’s Sarah Sjöström will go for the 50-100 freestyle double.
- Australia won Bronze in the Mixed Medley Relay, with USA taking Gold in World Record time.
Sailing
- Grae Morris won Australia’s first Sailing Medal of the regatta with Silver in the Men’s Windsurfing, just a matter of seconds off the Gold. (vision)
- Matt Wearn holds a big lead after six races of the Men’s Dinghy as he hopes to repeat his Gold Medal efforts from Tokyo.
Beach Volleyball
- Tom Hodges & Zach Schubert overcame their French opponents and a parochial Parisian crowd under the Eiffel Tower to progress from the pool stage. They meet USA at 7am AEST for a place in the Round of 16. (vision)

- Jason Day is five shots off the lead with one round remaining, holding down a share of 10th place after shooting a five-under 67 in the third round.
Rowing
- Tara Rigney (Women’s Single Sculls) and the Women’s Eight both finished fourth in their finals, both around just one second off from stepping on the podium.
Athletics
- Kurtis Marschall is safely through to the Pole Vault Final, not missing a height during Qualifying.
- Abbey Caldwell has joined Claudia Hollingsworth in the Women’s 800m Semi-Finals, with the 19-year-old showing maturity beyond her years to finish second in the Repechage. (vision)
Water Polo
- Having upset Tokyo Gold Medallists Serbia already, the Sharks beat nine-time Olympic champions Hungary to guarantee a a place in the Quarter-Finals.
3×3 Basketball
- The Gaungurrus finished fifth after the pool stage following an overtime victory over France, setting up a play-in game against Canada to qualify for the Semi-Finals.
- However, in a repeat of their pool round result, Canada were too strong in the semis, storming to a 21-10 victory to eliminate Australia.
Canoe Slalom
- Men’s Rd 1 & Repechage – Carter, Anderson
- Jess and Noemie Fox have both bumped and bashed their way through the opening round of the Women’s Kayak Cross. (vision) Tim Anderson also won through from his opening race while Tristan Carter was forced to come through the Repechage but is also now in the Heats stage.
Hockey
- Two goals in the last five minutes have delivered the Hockeyroos a 3-1 victory over Spain to ensure they finish on top of their pool with an undefeated record. (vision)

Athletics
- Julien Alfred has won St Lucia’s first ever Olympic Medal in one of the Games biggest events, taking Gold in the Women’s 100m ahead of World Champion Sha’Carri Richardson.
- Hurdler Femke Bol ran a breathtaking final leg to take the lead in the final stages and score the Netherlands an upset victory over USA and Great Britain in the Mixed 4x400m Relay, finishing just 0.02s outside the World Record.
- World Record holder Ryan Crouser (USA) has established himself as an all-time great, winning the Men’s Shot Put for the third-straight Games. Compatriot Joe Kovacs was forced to settle for his third Silver Medal, once again finishing behind Crouser.
- Thea LaFond has won Dominica’s first-ever Olympic Medal, winning the Women’s Triple Jump ahead of Shanieka Ricketts (Jamaica) and Jasmine Moore (USA).
- Norway’s Markus Rooth has won the Men’s Decathlon ahead of Leo Neugebauer (GER) and Lindon Victor (GRN) with less than 100 points separating the top three on an exciting second day of competition.
Swimming
- Summer McIntosh won the Women’s 400m IM to claim the medley double and become Canada’s first swimmer to win three Gold Medals at an Olympic Games.
- Katie Ledecky has now won the most Olympic Gold Medals of any Olympic swimmer, beating home Ariarne Titmus (AUS) in the Women’s 800m Freestyle. Her ninth Gold Medal takes her past compatriot Jenny Thompson.
- Hungary’s Kristof Milak has backed up his win in the 200 by taking out the Men’s 100m Butterfly, going one better than his Silver in Tokyo. Australia’s Matt Temple finished seventh.
- USA set a new World Record in the Mixed Medley Relay, edging out China while Mollie O’Callaghan stormed home for an Australian Bronze Medal.
Tennis
- Zheng Qinwen (CHN) has won the Women’s Singles with a straight sets win over Donna Vekic (CRO).
- Italy’s Lorenzo Musetti claimed the Men’s Singles Bronze Medal with a three-set win over Felix Auger-Aliassime (CAN).
Golf
- World No.2 Xander Schauffele (USA) and former World No.1 Jon Rahm (ESP) hold a one shot lead going into the final round. Denmark’s Nicolai Hojgaard shot a nine-under 62 to be three shots off the pace.
Rowing
- Romania has taken out the Women’s Eight while Great Britain won the Men’s Eight to conclude the Rowing regatta at Paris 2024.
Cycling
- Remco Evanpoel (BEL) has taken out the Men’s Road Race by more than a minute over a gruelling 273km course with two French riders rounding out the podium.
Basketball
- Team USA remain hot favourites in the Men’s draw following a 21-point victory over Puerto Rico, Anthony Edwards shooting at 73% from the field for a game-high 26 points.
Gymnastics
- Simone Biles (USA) has won the Women’s Vault for her third Gold Medal in Paris and seventh overall. She now sits just two Gold behind Larisa Latynina (USSR) who won nine Gold between 1956 and 1964.
- Carlos Yulo won the first-ever Gymnastics medal for Philippines, winning Gold in the Men’s Floor for his nation’s second-ever Olympic Gold Medal.
- Rhys McCleanaghan won Irelands’s first-ever Gymnastics medal by taking out the Men’s Pommel Horse.
